Our room was at the front of the hotel opposite Nijo Castle, very nice to wake up to. The hotel as a whole is average.
Our big disappointment was a girl at the Information desk, we went over to ask questions about buses, location of...More

The location is convenient, close to the station. Several antiquities are here. Room is clean and comfortable, but the furniture is a little old fashion. I still recommend this hotel, maybe you love this style.More

Kyoto Prefecture >
City Center / Kawaramachi / Karasuma / Shijo Omiya
No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its blended nature as the City Center. By day, the covered shopping arcades along Kawaramachi and Shijo Street bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home goods offerings. When it grows dark, the City Center is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and clubs. A trendy culinary scene and an abundance of
local watering holes give the Center its youthful vibrancy. In contrast, the quieter areas of the City Center seem a world away, shielded from noise by the foliage of the public gardens and zen spaces surrounding the area's shrines, castles, and the Imperial Palace. These ancient and sacred spots are seamlessly folded into the scenery, providing a respite from the energy of the city, but close enough to put you directly back onto the pulse of the city when you're ready.

The best and fastest way is to take the Kansai-Airport Express "HARUKA"from Kansai airport to Kyoto main railway station which takes just 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrived at the Kyoto station proceed to the bus terminal outside and look for the free shuttle to the ANA Crowne Plaza hotel. It stops in front of "Hachijo-entrance" of Kyoto station and runs from 8:00am to7:45pm, every 15 minutes.

They do not have the coin laundry/self service laundry. However, we did find a few different coin laundry places walking distance from the hotel. Couple of them were 24 hours. If you just enter the hotel's address in google maps, and search "laundry" for nearby, you will see all of the options and their hours etc. Some of the names are not in English, therefore, it will be easier if you just search in google maps and grab a screen shot of the address/name.
