City Centre
No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its blended nature as the City Center. By day, the covered shopping arcades along Kawaramachi and Shijo Street bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home goods offerings. When it grows dark, the City Center is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and clubs. A trendy culinary scene and an abundance of local watering holes give the Center its youthful vibrancy. In contrast, the quieter areas of the City Center seem a world away, shielded from noise by the foliage of the public gardens and zen spaces surrounding the area's shrines, castles, and the Imperial Palace. These ancient and sacred spots are seamlessly folded into the scenery, providing a respite from the energy of the city, but close enough to put you directly back onto the pulse of the city when you're ready.

We've stayed here on both of our visits to Kyoto. The hotel lobby is nice and check-in is always quick. Employees are very friendly and speak English well. The restaurant buffet breakfast is average. The rooms are clean and on the small side and beds are so-so. There is a fri

Disappointed the room was on the small side made worse with a third bed (we were triple occupancy). The lobby is cooly impressive.

Breakfast was in the basement restaurant. Breakfast coupons can be redeemed for lunch which we did one day. I don't recommend it as the options w

Booked the stay via Expedia, was double confirmed by Expedia that all taxes are included and nothing to be paid. In fact, we booked 3 hotel stay for our Japan trip this time (Hilton Tokyo, Royal Park Kyoto and one in Osaka). Everything went smooth at our Hilton Tokyo stay and was

Stylish hotel. The guest rooms are small and have very little storage, but there are clever design elements, like hooks that fold out of the wall near the door, that help with that. The rain shower shower head supplies one of the most luxurious shower experiences we’ve ever had

This hotel is located in the centre of Kyoto’s Kawaramachi district making it ideal if you like shops and shrines. The staff were helpful and very welcoming. Our room was not exactly spacious but was completely adequate for our needs - a base from which to explore. Even though it

Hi, for connecting rooms, what are the types of rooms that are connected? Thanks.
Don’t ever stay here. The attitude from the hotel staffs are horrible and they would go all way out to charge you even if you have already paid. They use threatening method by telling you that they will not allow you to check in. Stay away from this hotel.

where about in australia do we purchase a bullet train ticket kyoto to tokyo or is it done online please advise we are booked to stay in kyoto for 4 nights in october
You probably don’t need to purchase it before hand since the price is the same as you buy it before or when you get to Japan. You can stop by at any of the JR station to buy the tickets or ask your hotel concierges to help you find the nearest places. They take credit card for tickets, but make sure to bring enough cash since most of local places in Kyoto only take cash.

we will be staying for 4 nights in October. How do we get bullet train tickets from Kyoto to Tokyo cAN WE PURCHASE THEM IN AUSTRALIA or only in Kyoto when we get there
You can easily get a bullet train from Kyoto to Tokyo and give versa. You’ll see signs for Shinkansen. That’s the line you want. They take credit card for the transactions as well. You’ll just need to decide on the type of ticket (reserved seat, non reserved or green car which is the business class).
