We booked into this hotel for two nights. It is located at the southern part of the Kyoto Station, which is less activities and very quiet. It takes about 7 to 8 minutes walk from Kyoto Station. There are two convenient stores along the road...More

We are looking forward to seeing you again next time!
We had a lovely stay. Very clean, decent size room for Japan and very close to the train station. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Kyoto :-)

Is a good location and value for money in Kyoto. Actually this brand offers this in whole japan.
Rooms are not very big (a standard in japan) but clean and you will find all you need.
Staff was helpful and friendly
Just a few minutes' walk from Kyoto Station, close to department stores, shopping centers, convenient stores and restaurants. Staff are very professional. Breakfast is quite good and not too expensive. Overall facilities are good.

Thank you for staying with us. We are happy to assist your trip and hope you enjoyed Japan.
We are looking forward to welcome you again.
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the
mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.

Great question. My wife and I stayed in a very traditional ‘Ryokan’ on about the 2nd day into our holiday - and it was a shell shock! They spoke little or no English and it was hard going. Having said that, it was a good experience. However, we stayed at a more relaxed Ryokan later in our trip, the staff spoke limited English and tried to accomodate us. They also put on a (Japanese version of a ) western breakfast which we appreciated.
So give it a try - if it is too hard, have a backup plan - and my saviour was Google Translate with the Japanese dictionary
