I have the benefit of staying not only in the Hiroshima branch but also at J Hoppers Osaka and J Hoppers Kyoto. Overall: 1. Everything good you read about them are true 2. Unbeatable value for money and decent location 3. It's not perfect, nothing is, not even 5 stars hotel but it's damn good. I managed to get a...

We hadn't stayed in a hostel before but wanted to stay in budget accommodation for 3 nights while in Hiroshima. J Hoppers was a great place to stay! Close to Dobachi tram station or a lovely walk through the peace memorial park to get to the main shopping area (Hondori St). We stayed in a private room which was very...

The hostel is in a very good location, and only a short tram ride to all major attractions as well as Hiroshima Station. The staff were very nice and spoke good English. For the one night that we stayed, the room was relatively good. A little bit small with little areas for storage, but good enough for sleeping. The walls...

Stayed for three nights around Xmas time with a friend in a private room. I had stayed in another J-Hoppers (Kyoto) a few years ago and I'd say they are similar in terms of service. Staff were polite and gave us some tips about what to do in the area, plenty of maps and other detailed tourist stuff on the...

We stayed here for 3 days, had a great time. The staff were super nice and helpful. The hostel was set out nicely with all the trip suggestions and directions up on the wall. The location is perfect - a short walk from the peace dome and city centre.

Myself and my friend had a good experience at this hostel. We only stayed there one night but it was very cheap. I believe we got a private room for about $25 Canadian each. The room was very small but we only spent time in it sleeping so I didn't really matter to us. There is only one shower and...

I stayed here for 3 nights in a dorm. The dorm is Japanese style which was fine but the room smelled pretty awful, okay once you'd sat in it for 10 mins though.... The communal/dining area was tiny and not the most social place in the world especially with the tv blaring out. The kitchen is galley style so not...

The hostel is close to A-dome and Peace Memorial Museum and 2 minutes walk from stop of tram line for JR station. I booked a female 4-dormitory room tatami japanise style for one night and actually had the room all for myself. The hostel is clean and confortable, but it is a bit old, should have a general re-style. There...

This was a lovely, friendly hostel with clean rooms, bike hire and decent wi-fi. The kitchen was fully stocked and the common area was japanese style with two pc's and was the perfect place to meet other travellers. This hostel is sited very close to the A-dome and Peace Memorial Museum. I stayed in the female shared dorm which was...

This place was lovely and quiet unit I had too much wine + beer and made too much noise so I apologise to j- hoppers and other travellers for that. Good people and overall great hostel, guess I was a bit overexcited. Hiroshima is a great city!
