There is nothing I do not love about this place. Everything was beyond my expectation. Highly recommended!!! The room, services, food and the onsen were more than I've expected. I will stay there again for sure!

This hotel is about 1 hour drive from Sapporo but well worth it. Room is spacious and clean in the traditional tatami style, onsen on the first floor is awesome (with outdoor onsen) but is only available to either gender for a specific period (morning for gents and night for ladies). The usual onsen for either sexes on the top... More

That was a nice stay. The room was big . The Onsen was clean and nice. There were lot of different brands shower set to choose . After shower also had many type of lotions to use. If you just wear kimono or not enough clothes to go out, the hotel was very kind to prepare jackets, boots for adults... More

Very nice room for a traditional ryokan. In particularly facing the side of the snowy mountain. Reach there for the first night and it was snowing. The hot spring was great, they have indoors and outdoors. Dinner for two nights were two different menus, splendid!

I've always enjoyed having the ryokan experience when i travel and i decided to try it in jozankei. As it was late march and this winter has been rather warm, most of the snow had already melted, but Jozankei is really more popular for their amazing autumn foilage so i suggest if you ever head there, try late september to... We chose this hotel, as it was the cheapest one to offer ryokan style room. There were cheaper finds online, but from the pictures, or the lack of it, this ryokan was the 'safest' choice we could make. It is situated just off the main road, which makes it very easy to find. Like any other Japanese location, as long... More

My family and I added a night stay in Jozankei at the end of a week's skiing in Niseko. It was an absolute treat. The hotel is in the Japanese style - futon mattresses on the floor, shoes off at the door and sandals and robes to be worn around the hotel. The food was extraordinary, for both dinner and... More

My stay at Jozankei turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and I wish I could stay for another night. There were many hotel accommodations at Jozankei but we did not get our booking confirmed just a few days before the trip. We had two choices, either a high-end hotel, or Hanamomiji at Jozankeionsen Nishi Minamiku. Hanamomiji was known for... More

Stayed here for one night in the middle of winter. The hotel is very Japanese style with Japanese style rooms and onsens which are probably the best feature of the hotel. There didnt appear to be much special in the location (didnt explore the local area) but was easy to acccess by bus from Sapporo. We only stayed here for... More
