Sick and tired of highrise and concrete hotels ? Then Swallow-House Hostel Hangzhou is a refreshing change . It does not look like a hotel or hostel or B&B. This is actually two converted and restored old residences situated in the quiet end of Xihu district near the landmark Pagoda . It will take about 15 minutes to walk to...

Stayed here 2 nights during Chinese Holidays beginning of October, I was kind of disappointed, I booked on booking.com (536 rmb) which is a different name called «Banpingzi» and when I arrived, wow, what a disappointment. I guess, they give me the smallest and last room available here even if I booked early September. I had less than 1 meter...

Service: The service was great. It's my first time staying at a youth hostel/inn and, as expected, I was greeted by several young and energetic staff at reception. They were friendly, nice and approachable - yourself must be talkative and proactive in first place though. One thing impressed me most was that they were down to earth, they tell you...

Location: This place (from my personal experience) is around 35 mins (120 RMB) away from the Hangzhou International Airport (HGH) and 15-20mins (20-25 RMB) away from the Hangzhou train station. Most drivers needed clear direction as it is not a very popular area for tourists. All in all, the location is still good once you know your way round, it's...

We spent 2 nights there. I have to say the service was good: young guys team friendly and efficient. And we tried a lunch there which was good, not too big and not too greasy ! Regarding the room (double private ensuite), we have to say that the mattress was quite hard (and thiny) and the overall room size was...

Food in this hotel is amazing! facilities are ok, but some rooms are not very nice and in winter could be a little bit cold, anyway price, location and specially the restaurant / decoration are really nice and you can enjoy your stay in Hangzhou. Staff is very good and kind.

This Hostel is amazing! the rooms are clean, cheap, comfortable and homely, the staff very friedly. You can walk to the city center along the beautiful lake or take the bus. The young staff even brought us to the owner's pottery to do some pottery on our own - for free! after that, they drove us to the train station....
