This hotel is neither good nor bad, but it is certainly not memorable. It is bland to the extent that a month later you will have forgotten most things about it! Our room overlooked the temple at the back. I must confess we did not have a problem with any night-time noise from the temple gongs, and visited the temple...

We stayed here as part of our school group tour. It was certainly the nicest hotel that we stayed in. The reception area was welcoming and rather luxurious in appearance. Water and biscuits were available for guests. The staff were friendly and reception staff could speak English. Our rooms were tastefully decorated and spacious with a suite of electronics to...

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting the Tera Cotta Warriors. Room was very comfortable and clean with nice furnishings. Very hard bed. Large flat screen TV with several English channels. Mini refrigerator worked well and the air conditioning worked well. Only problems were: some mold and water damage on the bath room ceiling and the card keys did not...

This is not a 4 star hotel, but still it was on of the best Chinese Brand Hotels we stayed at during our visit to China. It has an impressive look when you enter (not consistent with rest of hotel), good security and is well located. For a quick visit like ours it worked out good. The breakfast was Ok,...

100 yards away from the Grand New World Hotel is the Xiwutai Yunju Temple. At 4:00am a gong was bashed every 5 seconds (it must have enormous as the noise was incredible), accompanied by constant wailing, finishing up with 5 minutes of frantic drumming. The first night, this lasted for 10 minutes, the second night it went on for 30...

Stayed here during peak tourist season. I am usually very considerate of busy times and would never expect everything to go 100% smoothly but unfortunately I found quite a few issues during my stay. Firstly the non smoking room stunk of smoke. Secondly, breakfast was comparable to a cattle farm. It was extremely crowded and filthy. Table cloths with food...

Stayed here on our tour for two nights and were very impressed by the hotel's facilities. From an impressive foyer and garden backdrop, through to a first class bar, large dining room catering for all tastes to excellent bedroom suite there was nothing to find fault with this hotel. Well situated for sightseeing in an impressive city. Excellent.

The best thing about this hotel was the restaurant and the service staff. The food was good and the services was excellent no matter what time of the day. Once you get past the grandeur of the reception area the hotel is very average. The corridors are dark and the rooms are similar, small and dated. I could recommend this...

We stayed in this hotel as per of our China tour package. The location was great, walking distance to places but we preferred to rest in between historical excursions. This is one of the few walked cities in the world and our hotel was almost around the corner. The breakfast buffet had both European and Asian choices. Free WIFI. The...

This hotel is beautiful. There are many ancient statues and Chinese classical decoration. Everyone loves staying here. The food is good and the same is true of the service. I spent two days here with my girlfriend,
