Arrived to what looked like empty hotel. Reception was near enough impossible to find. No staff around. Had to ring the hotel and a staff member finally arrived saying it was supposed to be her day off. We had to wait for a while before we could check in. Room was standard Chinese hotel. Uncomfortable for most westerners. Bathroom a...

The room they gave us in this "hotel" was awful: full of mold, humidity and a terrible smell; I wish I had a picture to show how terrible this room was, walls and ceiling were marked with mold. We asked for another room, but they told us they didn't have any available. We were told that we could change to...

My friend and I booked one room for 4 nights and we were so satisfied with this hotel. It's facilities, interiors and cleanliness are superb! The location is at the Muslim Quarter-where you can experience the most happening morning and night market. The staffs were really helpful although their English communication is not really good-but they tried their best to help...

For the price and location the MYFO cannot be beat. Located In the vibrant Muslim Quarter. It is a short walk to the subway, Drum and Bell Towers, the historic City Wall and Starbucks or above it the Pacific Coffee Co. I found it Safe (there is a police station directly across the street) and Clean. WIFI worked just OK....

MYFO is really well positioned for the Muslin quarter and just 10 minutes walk from the Zhong Lu metro station. Bai Dajie is a few minutes extra walk, but mainly because you have to cross a busy street to get to it. The maps provided aren't particularly accurate, but it is EASY TO FIND. From North Street (which you will...

The access to the inn is through a poorly lit alleyway in the Muslim quarter. Don't worry though, because in a few seconds you will reach its charming, traditionally decorated patio. The room was very spacious and clean, and the bathroom was unusually large even by non-Chinese standards. Although I interacted little with the staff, they were always very friendly...

What we like the best is its traditional Chinese style and decor. It's hidden away down an alley way and quiet, though it's on the busy Muslim street, where you can find hundreds of restaurants and food stalls. You can pop out for a quick snack late at night. There are things to be desired in the room, such as...

If you want to limit your stays to 4 or 5 stars western orientated hotels then don't go here. In any other case I can only give a positive advise. The location is perfect, if you want big towels just ask the front desk (which is actually at the street side) and they are helpful with arranging day-trips, there is...

The hostel was hard to find. Our taxi driver stopped a number of times to ask locals for directions, but they did not know either. Situated in the Muslim quarter, there are many sights to see in the close proximity. The rooms were bare, the beds were hard and unserviced, and the showers were weak and Luke warm. Only hand...

I stayed in the inn for 2 nights during my 2 week long trip in China. The location of the hotel is very good- it is in the middle of the lively and fun Muslim Quarter where is street market taking place. So you literally step out of the hotel and you have food stands left and right and no...

“We chose a ground floor (courtyard) room because we had heavy luggages, as there was no lift. An upstair room might be better if you travel light.”
