Arrived the evening and got put into a twin room when we had booked a double room, went back to reception to tell staff and they said that I hadn't booked twin. Asked them for wifi password to find my reservation on my phone and was told wifi wasn't working so had to the McDonalds up the street and when... More

Stayed here alone for 3 days in 2013, was in a double room ensuite on the top floor overlooking the bell tower. Incredible view, I was mesmerised just sitting there in the evenings watching busy city life go by!! Within walking distance to most of the big attractions Xi'an has to offer (bar Terracotta Warriors, which is a short cheap... More

The location was superb with a great view of the Bell tower, and a very short distance to the Muslim quarter, the city walls and the metro. The manager was friendly, funny and the only one who could converse in English comfortably. Some of the staff also had good language skills, but were inexplicably shy about speaking. Despite clean sheets... More

We stayed here in November 2013 for a few days en route to Dunhuang. Good aspects include 1. location - walking distance to Bell and Drum Towers, Muslim Quarter and Mosque, department stores, Starbucks, KFC and McD's (for those who are desperate) and lots of alleys with fresh noodle and kebab stalls - local style; 2. Pleasant front desk staff... More

This is certainly one of the better hostels I have stayed in. Undoubtedly one of the best in Xi'an, if not China. Our 3rd floor room had a spectacular view overlooking the bell tower. It was a pleasure to sit by the window at night and admire the lights and sounds of the streets below. The beds are hard, as... More

I enjoyed a wonderful week at the Bell Tower. Bang i the middle of Xi'an, there is no better place to stay. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and amenities totally adequate. I managed to break a bone in my knee on my last day in Xi'an,I stumbled back to the YHA with help, where they looked after me, in every... More

We stayed here 3 nights and found this hostel better than a hostel, it was like a serviced hotel. You couldn't have found a better place to stay in Xian for the price, it was right in the centre near the Bell Tower so everything was in walking distance. The metro station and local bus stops were just outside. The... More

We moved from another hostel to stay here. We had read all the other recent reviews on the place and we really like it. The place is right opposite the Bell Tower in the middle of Xi'an and has the most amazing views of it by night. People are right in what they say, the corridors are dirty but all... More

The hostel is well located but he is too dirty , the breakfast eggs was cold . I think the hotel must invest in renovation if he wants to have more clients and offer a better service. There was no lift, the receptionist was quiet, unconfident and spoke litte English . “If you have big baggage, choose lower floors (but it is noisy because the streets are busy) If you want less noise, choose upper floors (4th flr onwards) Room 426 is a big room, consider a 'suite' room, but I felt uncomfortable staying in it. For 2 nights in a row, there was a loud noise coming from the cupboard (after midnight). Haha, I ended up sleeping in my sister's room.”
