The hotel is in the middle of a park and is approach by their golf-buggy style transport from the park gate. Reception is friendly - they have good English - and in rather grand hall. We were back and forth, so that we had 3 different rooms. All were large, comfortable and quiet in different pavilion-style buildings. Excellent bathroom. There... More

This hotel is located in the middle of the city's botanical gardens/park where people meet and exercise etc. It is a beautiful tranquil park with walking paths and a koi pond etc. If we had more time, we would have walked and explored a bit more. The driver dropped us off at the park gate and you ride a golf... More

The hotel is in the middle of a park so it is very picturesque and quite. The local residents use the park for socializing, walking, dancing and exercise or just playing cards with friends. You can be driven to and from the park entrance to the hotel in a golf cart but I recommend walking at least once to understand... More

Hotel is in a fabulous setting, really serene. We stayed here as we day tripped a lot out of Guilin so weren't too worried about it being away from the centre. It is very easy to get a taxi/pedicab in and you can walk it, about 20 min. The hotel is beautiful, we used the pool on return from day... More

This is a lovely hotel and we were so sorry our stay was so short. It is situated in a beautiful park with buggy service from the park entrance to the hotel if required. The rooms are in separate buildings set in attractive grounds, with well tended plants, carp pools and a swimming pool. Our room was spacious, clean and... More

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Be sure you understand that you'll have to taxi into town for meals and catching a taxi BACK to the hotel can be daunting. If it's raining, forget about it. The hotel restaurant is open for dinner with a large menu but prices are on the high side, especially considering what... More

This hotel was our first night in China and a great welcome. The grounds are picture perfect and the rooms are very clean and well kept. The hotel offers free airport pick up and the driver was there waiting with our names on the sign even though our flight was almost an hour late. I'm glad we requested pick up... More

It was a joy to stay in this hotel, with well tended grounds set within a botanic park. The accommodation with private patio was well laid out, very clean and comfortable with a good sized en-suite and super large shower. The grounds were lovely with bright shoals of carp within the pools, ponds, and waterways set throughout the hotel's grounds.... More

Our original room on the first floor was quite musty (humidity, carpeting and curtains are not a good mix) and the smell was so unpleasant that we asked to be moved. We were relocated readily and our room on the second floor didn't smell. The carpeting in both rooms has seen better days. The staff at the front desk didn't... More

This villa style hotel is set in the middle of Guilin's botanical garden. A cynic might wonder has that was allowed to happen, but who cares. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff spoke the best English of the four hotels we visited. A beautiful spot to stay in with easy access to shopping and public transportation.
