First, something that will help you arrive. Take the airport shuttle that goes to the Aviation hotel, and get off at the only stop - Guilin Swan hotel - from there, continue in the same direction as the bus for about 150 m to the first crossroad (construction in progress), turn right, always stay on the same sidewalk, do NOT...

Wada in Guilin was brilliant - really friendly welcoming staff who make you feel right at home and are ready to help however they can. We were there for the BBQ night and it was great - really good way to meet other travellers and plenty of food. The food they serve is easily the best we've had hostel wise...

Incredible staff. Decent rooms. Good prices. A little further out of the center than other hostels, but just a 5 minute (13yuan) taxi ride from the middle of the city (Guilin is fairly small). Perfect location for me as it was a quieter area, right next to some AMAZING street food. Friendly service, helpful in arranging tours. Couldn't recommend more!...

This hostel offers a very good vibe to anyone traveling through China. Arrived late but was treated in a manner that made the weary journey forgetable. The rooms were adequate, the staff in general very engaging and helpful. The food and drinks on offer were at good prices and tasty. Could have stayed longer.

I love all three locations Wada have. The staff are incredibly helpful with any need you may have plus they're fun. If you get to know them they may invite you out for swimming in the river or a nice walk. Finding things to do, booking transportation, or asking recommendations couldn't be easier from the English speaking staff. the food...

This hostel was just terrific. The service was great, the rooms comfy, the common room was lively, and the food was simply outstanding! Definitely recommended, even if it is a little far from the center of town. Really **GREAT** value for our money!

The most amazing, helpful and patient staff! We came as a group of four girls and you let us stay in the hostel lounge area/cinema room (yes they had a movie room!!) when we had to catch a train at 3.am. Amazing food, range of western and chinese, yummy breakfasts, all reasonably priced, and staff helped us book lots of...

I spent a weekend at Wada. It's kind-of the ideal hostel. The staff is super-helpful, will help you arrange local tours (at great prices), and also cooks. The Wada bar features some of the freshest Western food I've had in China; beautiful omlettes, fresh Kale juice, and hearty English breakfast. All of these are reasonably priced and come quickly out...
