We were so thankful to have a layover hotel in China! Amen for China Southern Airlines putting us up! This hotel was huge and beautiful. The staff spoke wonderful English and got us into our room in no time! Breakfast wasn't what I was expecting but I still managed to find some familiarities. The location was close to the airport and there was a free shuttle bus both ways which made life easier. The room was huge, the hotel was smoke friendly, the bathroom was spotless and the shower had incredible pressure. Slept like a baby! I would recommend bringing Chinese Yen or having AliPay when going to China, we ended up paying $60 CAD for 2 packages of instant noodles and 2 gatorades as no one wanted to speak to us or accept any of our currency. Pleasantly surprised to find English movies on the TV! We fell asleep to Avatar…
Booked this hotel for the night before leaving Guangzhou. It is some distance from the airport, but was well worth it. Beautiful hotel, great rooms, excellent free breakfast - all for a very reasonable price. Staff very helpful. Location enables you to walk around the area. Many places to eat.
This is a hotel "near" the Guangzhou Airport. It is "near" but not too close. Shuttle times are 00:00, 00:30, 01:00, 01:30, 02:00, (nothing until 04:00), 05:00. Every 30 minutes from 06:00 to 09:00 am, Once per hour 10:00, 11:00, 12:10, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30, 22:00, 22:30, 23:00, 23:30 . Departing on the hour at the hotel. Pick up times from T1 is 20 minuted from hotel departure and 25 minutes at T2 after hotel departure time.
I had stayed in this hotel for 1 night. Nice interiors and rooms are good with balcony. Hotel is in Residencial area away from city. If you want to visit the guangzhou Canton tower then It is about 1 hour drive from hotel. Restaurant in hotel is good. Limited options for vegitarian.
Staff is great. Stay here many times and always great service. The buffet for dinner and breakfast is the usual quantity over quality. Good desserts!! Try the room service as it is very reasonable and attentive to detail. the bar is a good place for a quick drink and some old sports on the tube. Comfortable beds and big showers with plenty of hot water.
We paid more than threefold for the spa than native ones !!! We do not think that's all right. Thanks to a Chinese friend who could uncover that. only very few people speak bad English. but the hotel pleased and still very good. It is very high quality and clean.
Free upgrade, huge room, separate walk-in shower, bath, toilet, great a/c, hotel spotless and staff very helpful. Good quality complimentary snacks in the executive lounge at happy hour(s) and efficient bookable airport shuttle. Our flight was delayed so beware, the pick-up service cuts off at midnight, also (and really annoying) the 24 hour room service does also so you can get neither food nor drink. We weren't hungry but I could have done with a couple of cold beers - even at room service prices. I feel they should look at having some way of providing cold drinks late at night, given the summer heat of Guangzhou.
stay for one night really nice and near airport provided. they are friendly and first one feel weird smell in room and info to front desk and they help me out change room really nice and good service! ;-)
The Holiday Inn hotel is in the Guangzhou airport zone. If you need a layover, I am giving this Holiday Inn my best recommendation. I like everything about this hotel: the clean room, comfortable bed. You name it, it’s all good. But I really want to focus on the customer service. I arrived at the hotel at around 02:00 on Saturday morning, August 25, 2018. I was exhausted from a long flight that started in Chicago at 3:00 PM on Wednesday morning, took a long leg to Beijing, transferred to another plane to go to Guangzhou. From Guangzhou, I needed to travel to my final destination, Nanning. This is probably more than you need to know. The point is that when I arrived at the Holiday Inn I was exhausted. Jeff was behind the counter. He quickly corrected a mistake in my reservation and easily checked me into my room. I awoke early so that I could change a train reservation. Jeff was still at the desk and with the help of Kathy, I decided to fly there instead. This is when Steven stepped in. Very quickly, the three teamed up and everything was arranged for me. I went to the breakfast buffet, which is huge. They served all kinds of Chinese and western dishes. Everything I chose was fresh and well-prepared. This detail though is important. I picked up a cup of coffee in the buffet and brought it to my table. One of the directors noticed that I had chosen the coffee best suited to Chinese taste. It was as thin as tea. In a blink the thin coffee was replaced with a freshly brewed coffee that was easily as good as Starbucks, probably better. Travel in China can be daunting for a foreigner. The staff of the Holiday Inn took good care of me and I appreciate this. I truly felt welcome here. CEO Keith Barr: If you are reading this, please take note. The customer service in this hotel is exceptional, everything else too, but the customer service was as good as it gets.…
The Holiday Inn Guangzhou Airport Area is located 15 kilometers from the airport, which is a small distance in China. A free shuttle bus runs every hour from the Central Airport Building, Departure Hall, Gate 16, 2nd floor. It is well worth mentioning that the hotel has improved significantly its service level since my last visit two years ago. Some employees speak English and in general they are better trained. The construction site around the hotel has disappeared, and a small Center with many typical bars and some shops has opened. The rooms are spacious with 32 m2 and are of a good business standard, with a comfortable double bed, a desk and a sofa. The room and the bath room were clean. The bathroom is equipped with a shower stall and bathtub. W_LAN worked perfectly. Two complimentary bottles of mineral water and a kettle for tea/coffee are placed in the room. The breakfast is plentiful, garnished with Asian and Western breakfast items. On request, guests can get a fresh coffee or cappuccino. The hotel offers a buffet dinner. For discovery fun guests, many simple snacks offered by local food are located next to the hotel. It is however hopeless an English dining map to find. The hotel is located in a residential area, therefore taxis are reluctant to take the journey. If you miss the shuttle then do not pay more than RMB 100.- for the ride to the hotel. I can recommend this hotel for a transit stay. The price/performance ratio is good.…
