Nice hotel but it has two problems. It lies in the middle of a building site at present. The centre of Guangzhou is being transformed for the Asian Games in 2010. The hotel will eventually be at the centre of a shopping mall, metro station, etc. But in July 09 it was surrounded by builders' huts, etc. The second problem...

This is a spanking new hotel with chic design. This is undoubtedly the best luxury hotel in Guangzhou. The room came with motorized blinds, ipod docking station, luxury amenities. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Service was top notch and world class. The down side is the hotel is currently surrounded by building sites and there is little in...

Stayed for two nights at start of a Business trip to China. Relatively new hotel - with much of surrounding area still under construction - but no problem with noise. Not too far from train station. With many of hotels with similar rating in China customer service not quite at the level expected, but staff here seemed to get it...

This has been my best hotel experience ever. The rooms, the food, the service, the spa, everything. We did not go back because we found a cheaper hotel, but the Grand Hyatt was worth every penny spent. The hotel had premium parking at the Guangzhou fair so it was just a short walk to the quarter hourly air conditioned buses....

I have NEVER seen anything like the rooms here before. Since everyone's comments describe the room the same way I won't add much. I will say that it took awhile to figure out all the switches, which was fun. One BIG problem though are the window shades. You may not know the switches on the wall that control them and...

I stayed at the GH Guangzhou for a week on business. Got a great deal of $100/night bundled with my airfare on Asiana. But, it didn't include breakfast and the breakfast buffet, only choice - no menu, was one price of US$28 so that bumped the daily rate. Take note, there is no central heat in this restaurant and the...

The hotel is virtually brand new, and the rooms are a nice size, completely modern with electric curtains, shades, and 42" flat screen TV which is on a hinge so you can see it in bed or even in the shower which is in a glass enclosure. The shower head is fantastic, a rain fall type with good pressure. If...

Beautiful new (April 2008) property in Guangzhou, quite convenient to the Canton (CIEC) Fair grounds by hotel shuttle, or subway just a couple of blocks away. A bit out of the way from the usual hotel areas, so the taxi drivers don't know it yet. During the fall Canton Fair , the hotel had staff at the Guangzhou East train...
