My family stayed at the Nikitin hotel 2ith August 2020. Our room was 103 with a nice view of the Church. Everything you would want is in the room. All the hotel staff had smily faces and were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely and enough food to last you the day. The lady owner was very nice and attentive and even gave us all cake and bottled water for our long journey home. We will be returning very soon. A gem of a hotel.
Very attentive service, nice rooms, well kept property, good breakfast service. Everything you need for a good base to explore Nizhny Novgorod and if you are going to a football match the location can´t be beat as it is just a short walk from the stadium!
The hotel itself was ok (our room was quite good) but it is far from anywhere to eat or drink, have a coffee etc. and most of the attractions that a foreign tourist would be interested in are the other side of the river. It would not be so bad if the hotel had some sort of transport or was helpful in ordering taxis, but most of the staff that we met spoke no English and were quite unhelpful when it came to ordering taxis. Two of the staff were actually very unhelpful, there was no effort to try and give any service. As it is not that close to a main road, it is not even easy to try and find a cab on the street yourself. Be warned, the walk across the bridge to the other side is a long half hour walk with heavy traffic thundering past you. The hotel charges extra if you check in early.…
This is rather new and small hotel close to downtown. 15 minutes by taxi from Moskovsky railway station and roughly 40 mins - 1 hour from city airport. It is in quiet district, but rather far from anywhere, so if you dont like walking - you should take a taxi. There are no any attractions in the vicinity, except orthodox cathedral next door. And river port :)
