The location is perfect. Good restaurants around, metro station across the street and beautiful waking to Patriach Ponds were are amazing restaurants. Big and confortable rooms, good service at the reception and well prepared breakfast with some Russian dishes.

I stayed at this hotel couple of times. It is very big, has big rooms, some of the floors have modern designed and some have opposite very classic conservative styles. Everything worked perfectly. Big selection at breakfast table. It also has a roof top bar, might be an experience to visit, you can see some part of Moscow from above!...

Very large soviet era hotel which is a unique experience. The rooms were a little tired but ok. Very clean. Over the new year to Christmas (orthodox) holiday it was quiet, almost like "The Shining" quiet. Hopping bar on top floor although drinks are pricey. View is worth doing once. Location was a little cold in atmosphere on a stretch...

Soviet architectural style from the 30's. Everything is huge: staircase, hallways, restaurant. But not the rooms and not the bathroom... Beds confortable, rooms clean, bathroom as well. Quite central right in front of Mayakovskaya subway station.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with breakfast. Super location near the subway station Mayakovskaya, so you do not need taxi and all historic centre of Moscow is very easy reachable. The room was clean, with air-condition. Breakfast was rich. Dining room is decorated in mixed style of China and sport elements / pictures ;)

My boyfriend and I stayed this week visiting from Ireland. I honestly couldn't fault this hotel from check in to check out. The hotel itself is well located (half an hours walk from red square) and has beautiful interior. The food is four star quality as was our room 305. The facilities are numerous including a spa, Internet cafe and...

There are a few things which combined to create an "inhospitable" environment in a business which should be striving for the opposite. 1) The "security" staff on the ground floor are too numerous, not professionally dressed and act rudely. They eye up guests rather than welcome them, and challenge guests to produce their documents (addressing them only in Russian, not...

I stayed for one night, without breakfast. As other reviews have already pointed out, the location is excellent, only 2 minutes away from a metro station. The Belorussky railway station is also within walking distance. This hotel lived up to my expectations. It's certainly past its heyday and could do with some modernisation. The lifts are small and old, and...

Well. yes the location is fabulous, and eventhough the hotel is old, it doesn´t bothers me, but the old russian feeling does.
