It was smelly, badly shaped, and it had the most unfriendly staf I have seen in a hotel! I would recommend anyone not to go there.

I was on a business trip and booked this recommended hotel through a Moscow travel agent. I booked 6 days 5 nights stay and had made full payment for my stay prior to my arrival. However due to work commitments, I was not able to check in on-time and had missed my first 2 days stay with the hotel. When...

Having read the reviews of this hotel prior to our departure we were unsure what to expect, our orignal chosen hotel was undergoing renervation. Yes the entrance hall is large - with slot machines - but I can think of other large hotels with gaming machines, whose entrances are not so different. There was no queue & we found the...

A warning to fellow travelers. My son and I stayed at Hotel Cosmos 6 nights at the end of our trip in May. When you first see the hotel it appears to be quite beautiful, so large & majestic. However, be warned, the hotel hallways have a stale foul odor, the rooms are very plain but, thankfully, the tv worked...

I agree with most reviewers who say this is a cheap, OK hotel. Nothing special unless you count the number of prostitutes and other accoutrements (slot machines, a strip club, bowling alley, no less than 12 souvenir stores, statue of DeGaulle and his nose, etc.) Rooms are small and simple, but clean and the fridge is a nice addition. The...

The biggest fear of a traveler. The hotel cancels your reservations without reason. The Hotel Moscow did this to our entire tour group (40pax). And imagine this, for what reason? TO MAKE MORE MONEY. We arrived at 10pm (and informed them in advance that we were going to be late) and they gave our rooms away. So there we were...

I have stayed at the Cosmos on about 5 trips over the past 3 years. The ownership has changed, service has gone down as prices went up. I found the staff at the desk spoke English. The phones - a total rip off, don't use their phones except for in-house calls. The laundry service - what they price as rubles...

I have just returned from an organised tour trip to Russia. The tour included a 3 night stay at the Cosmos. This hotel is situated a bit of a distance from the Tourist Attractions, therefore much time was spent travelling, in constant traffic jams, to see the various sights. It is an extremely large hotel which makes it a bit...

Stayed at hotel Cosmos, not a 5* hotel, rating says a solid 3*, my personal opinion a solid -3*. The staff at the hotel is rude and totally not helpful. We stayed there during the Hockey World Championship. A lot of foreign stayed there. Some of the times staff spoke English, some of the times pretended they do not understand...

Large modern hotel, seemingly French-owned (big statue of De Gaulle in front), located some distance from central Moscow (thus requiring expensive taxis or use of nearby Metro at 70c a ride if you know a bit of Russian or have a Russian-speaking escort). Hotel personnel very efficient and knowledgeable. Room very good and excellent full breakfast served.
