I travel quite often to Moscow for business, and lately I always stay at Izmailovo hotel. I think I have enough experience with different kind of rooms there to give a good advise. First time I booked through a travel agent and I asked for "business room". They said it was not available and booked a standard room for me...

Not too bad.Actually, if you don't want to pay some 400 USD/night, Izmailovo is a reasonable choice. Not too far from the Moscow centre (take a Metro, and in 20-30 minutes you get to the Red Square , Pushkin Museum or dazzling Moscow night life).Once again, don't expect too much from this hotel, but the price/quality ratio is quite OK.

Moscow was a little intimidating and this hotel was no exception. The reception speaks some English, but seemed a little surly when we asked some questions. When I booked our room on the hotel website, it said there were only deluxe business rooms available and everything else was taken. Upon arrival, the hotel was deserted and definitely not even close...

I was on a business trip in Moscow and my local partner booked this hotel for me. It took me 3 hours in the Moscow afternoon rush hour to get to the hotel from the airport by taxi... I stayed at building Gamma, and I had one of the rooms which are not new - so it was built and...

I was in Moscow for a week in Nov on business and was booked into the Delta by my Russian business contact. The hotel was chosen for location and price, would I chose it again , probably not. The rooms are being refurbished which is no major problem and my room was new. The bathroom is nice and clean but...

This complex is an experience. It consists of 4 or 5 HUGE hotels all within a few metres of each other. As far as I know they were constructed for the 1980 Olympics. And they are still staffed as if it is 1980. Firstly I couldn't get a room as they were all "full". There were no apologies or "maybe...

The rooms are clean. There are no noises from the street because of good isolation. The only problem is: It is not an internation hotel, so you can get some problems if you don`t speak russian - not at the reception but in all other places. I guess more than 90 % of guest are russians. The breakfirst is for...

Huge soviet era 3 star hotel complex, rooms have been recently upgraded with all mod cons including a safe big enough for the laptop. Internet access via WiFi but pricey, 180 roubles per hour. No air conditioning in standard rooms, (it was 35 deg C during my stay). Paid 4000 roubles per night excluding breakfast and including all the service...

Our 2nd stay at the Izmailovo/Gama Delta was sept 10th and 11th 2006. It was much improved since our first stay. There were many new shops on the ground floor, an internet area, coffie bar, very low priced souvenir shops (many of them), ethnic resturant, a huge resturant on the second floor, bars and so on. It was much cleaner...

I stayed there June 24 2007 for 4 nights. The place is clean. It's a bit further from the city center but the hotel itself is close to a subway stop as well as other local restaurants (so you don't have to eat at the hotel). It also has a food market within the complex for you to purchase food....
