This hotel, although not perfect, is in an excellent location within walking distance of the major sites. There is no restaurant for evening meals however you can use the Romanov restaurant in the adjoining hotel (peter thr First). They do have a breakfast room which serves a more than adequate selection of hot and cold items to suit most tastes....

Substituted location for everything else. Very poor impression upon walking into the property. Reception was blunt and not helpful. When we were searching we hoped that there was "truth in advertising" but alas, no. No dining room, no extra services, no help from reception. The rooms were old, tatty and hot. The reception told us there was no way to...

We are an American mom and 16 year old son travelling on a spring break trip to Russia. Good location that made it easy to navigate to all sights within the city. Red Square and the Kremlin were a 10 minute walk away (at the most). The Bolshoi Theater was an easy landmark for us to use to navigate to...

Great location walking distance to main sights. Very dated rooms and mile long hallways but clean and warm. A good continental breakfast served in your room - there is no hotel dining room. There is absolutely nothing special about this hotel with very limited services and limited English spoken. Next time I'll spend some more and stay somewhere more upmarket.

The hotel is located in a beautiful building. The interiors are doing an amazing impression. The area also extremely interesting. Very close from here to the well-known landmarks such as St. Basil's Cathedral or the Bolshoi Theatre. Excellent service. All requests meet very soon. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, which serves very good food. It is worth noting that...

The location o f the hotel is great in a very nice and classy area at a walking distance from Bolchoi and Red square. The room are decorated with horrible and old furniture. I have stayed in this hotel in the end of November 2011 for business purposes. The hotel room has an old architectural style, and with the room's very high ceiling, huge windows and old furniture you feel like you have been transported 30 years ago to the communist era. Although everything seems a little old in the room, it is...

Rooms v nice ( tall ceilings) breakfast very good, our evening meal was inclusic & was rather an eclectic mix of foods, I got the feeling the chef was trying tp please us...

Rooms are either small or very large. The room was a bit cold (20 degrees). There are no recreation in the hotel and no wifi. You have to go to hotel next door belonging to same owner to have pleasant lobby with bar service and wifi. Overall good place to start in Moscow but if some one has a good...

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
