This place is clean and nearby the pedestrian walkway of arbat street which is filled with souvenir shops, restaurants and places to exchange money. Manageable walk to red square. Their subway system is so good every hotel is likely near a subway stop. I gave the room a poor rating as the bed isn't great and the rooms are small....

Consider this hotel only if you get a cheap deal and plan on spending no time in it. Unfortunately I have had to stay here 3 times, before I had the hotel taken off our Company's approve list. Positives: - very good location for exploring the Arbat neighbourhood. - Safe The main disadvantages are: - you cannot eat in the...

The Arbat is a hotel with lots of character. Plenty of wood and comfortable furnishings. We stayed in a delux double room. While the initial appearance of the hotel is 1960's the rooms are have all the modern conveniences. Breakfast was good and dinner one night in the hotel restaurant was also good. The hotel is a few minutes walk...

Close to the Famous Arbat Street. Convenient approach to Metro station. English speaking staff and most reviews in this section influenced in booking this Hotel. Happy with my stay there. Breakfast was good. Internet - need to come down to the Lobby to access the wi-fi.

Small friendly hotel in a good location near the metro and several good restaurants. The front desk staff were very welcoming and obviously well trained. Rooms are a little small but nicely decorated with coffe and tea facilities, and very comfortable beds.

Conveniently located in embassy area and within 5 minute walk to pedestrian Arbat Street and metro stations. Lobby and restaurant modernized - very good buffet breakfast but other meals were more expensive for what you got. Other moderate restaurants were within 5 minutes walk from hotel. My room on 5th floor was basic - 2 twin beds, wardrobe, desk and...

I stayed at Arbat Hotel last June for five nights. Its location is very good, very close to the pedestrial (and tourist) Arbat Street. I payed aroud 200 bucks for a double room, a good value considering the time of the year (high season). It is a three to fours stars hotel used for conventions and parties. The room is...

I stayed here at spring 2011 and found it was just an average hotel compared to its price. The building is situated close to a metro station (it’s about a 5-10-min walk), and only a few steps from the old Arbat street. I booked a superior room, which was clean and very spacious, but with old looking furniture. It was...

My wife and me stayed at the Arbat hotel for one night in december 2011. The room was clean and large with a nice view on the street. Internet free and fast by cable in the room. Breakfast from 7.30 to 11.00 and very rich. We had also dinner at 10.00 p.m. and we ate very well: pelmeni, cheese soup...

I stayed there for 2 nights with the best impression. It is located at a green street transversal to Arbat Ulitsa , that is a great location indeed. The newest metro station is Smolenskaya , two medium blocks away. I arrived there early in the morning and they immediately made the check in at a very kindly way . My...

Staying in Khamovniki

Neighbourhood Profile
Khamovniki
Khamovniki could be considered a city of its own – here it’s possible to find some of Moscow’s most important cultural institutions such as the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Novodevichy Convent and Trubetskikh Estate, great sport locations such as Luzhniki stadium and aqua complex, and long and beautiful Luzhniki embankment. Pick your preferred form of transport to explore the area – bicycle or river cruise during the summer and taxi in winter as many of the great places are situated beyond a short walk.
