This is a very nice and friendly seaside, cabana style hotel with a nice swimming pool. The receptionists, particularly Myriam, were very helpful. The room was big and clean with free wifi, tea and coffee, free bottle of water and TV. The sea view was nice with what seemed to be constant rainbow!. Dinner was very good and I was offered a free glass of wine. Breakfast was adequate for me. I stayed here two nights.
Booked for 3 for their Sunday brunch. We were told with the price of the brunch you could access the pool but we did not cause it was not our thing. Very underwhelmed with the choice of food...some samoussas, fried stuff and for hot food (mains) some plain pasta, a grey musrhooms sauce and some porc...Not worth the price or the drive just to eat there sorry :(
Have been there with my wife this week. Grands Bois is not a very lively little town. Sugar Factory closed down since a while and hence the town had seen it best time. Same kind of shabby looks welcomes your also when your trying to find the hotel. Simply look for an aged sun bleached sign early if you come from direction of St Pierre. But the the good things start very friendly hosts will welcome you. Ok the time we visited was definitely off season. We got a nice little room well maintained and close to the centrally located pool. You have WiFi a fridge on the room a very comfy bed and a bathroom nicely build and equipped. There is a small extra room with chairs, but we never figured out for what purpose this was. Hence we dumped our luggage inside. Breakfast was included and served as buffet. Good selection of fresh fruits, French pastries and breads, cheeses, sausages, home made marmalades, cereals, juices ... Nothing really to complain. Though I had mich better coffee in France and the machine to press fresh orange juice is a joke. There are nice stylish and robust mechanical alternatives available which not getting your hands dirty. Personal is very service minded. Dinner. We usually took the proses menu means either starter and main or main and desert. Why they not offering the full manty 3 courses became not clear to me. But with this we shared usually the starter and desert. In general the offered food was ok - nothing great but also not bad. A bit more finesse in the offering and slightly more variation would already do a first easy step. 3 day the same side is a bit annoying. …
Stayed 3 nights in a room behind and above the reception area. The room was not very big but had a small balcony, tables and chairs. The shower was see through on 2 sides so not private if you are sharing the room. In room wi-fi, aircon, tv, plenty of hot water, quiet, lots of storage. An attractive restaarurant area, watch out for the birds, good breakfast and evening meals. Nice pool with umbrellas and loungers. Friendly staff.
Undeniably the best hotel be it for a business trip or for leisure. Professional and courteous staff, excellent food and drinks. Good rooms. Charming surroundings, marvellous set up. Definitely will always remain my choice my heart. Thank you to the staff and management to have made my stay so memorable. I strongly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is a small boutique hotel operated by a friendly staff. All staff members, including reception, restaurant for dinner as well as breakfast were very nice, swift and helpful. The restaurant served excellent food and we particularly liked the pool area. Even though our room was tiny, most parts of the room were very new (except for the balcony) or newly refurbished. Very good place to stay for one or two days!
We arrived before a cycloon and we seemed to be the only guests. It has a nice and quiet location and we were upgraded in a superior room which was very nice. You cannot swim in the sea and nothing around it. You need a car to go to Saint Pierre. But the hotel itself is peaceful and inviting.
The hotel is quiet, very cosy, a lot of warming details (library, games etc) a nice ppol and a beautiful location near the rocky cliff in Grand Bois. yet despite the excellence of service and attention, this hotel lack of level in the food service, restaurant is average and a bit pricey. The atmosphere is cool so we will certainly come back but we will enjoy dinner ina restaurant in close-by Saint-Pierre instead...
Still a pleasure to come to this charming hotel in the "wild" south.... The view from the coast rooms is something we haven't tried yet and it's now done. The restaurant's chef is still a very friendly and expert person. He knows how to make delicious meals and adapt it to children so they can ask us to come back. It's just like the McDonald's marketing except that the food is much better without any comparison. Hope to be able to come back soon.
The hotel is far from everything. No kiosk, no shop, no beach, no restaurant except the hotel restaurant that is closed most of the time, if you don't have a car it is impossible to stay here, there is no taxi available in this area, the hotel does not help with any transport. So you will be stucked. The workers is nice but totally blocked that they can not offer anything. It is not worth the price at all. It is a very cheap hotel" small, very bad shape, looks like a house in the ghetto. The rooms are super poor.
