I admit, after so many bad reviews I was worried. But we spent 6 nights in this hotel and I can say it was a perfect stay. The room was quiet and new (I asked in advance through the messenger for a new and quiet room, which was also fulfilled). Room small, but for the two of us absolutely sufficient, because we did not come there to spend time in the room, but getting to know Reunion :) In the pool we did not even swim because the hotel is a few steps from the most beautiful beach in the world. Breakfast every day the same, but let's say how many of us make different breakfasts every day? we didn't mind. fresh crunchy pastries, 2 kinds of salami, cheese, butter, good coffee, juices ... just dinner was expensive at this hotel, the first night cost us 60 €, probably the most expensive dinner in our life :) but our mistake that we get the price did not look earlier. Otherwise she was great. On the day of departure to the airport we had to leave in the evening, we could leave the suitcases at the reception in a sheltered room, we went to the beach and before the arrival of the transfer to the airport gave us the entire room to take a shower. Perfect service, which we appreciated. Nothing was a problem. The shower went wrong with the shower and was repaired within 5 minutes. Thank you for a wonderful stay and hope to come back again sometime.…
This hotel is well situated, easy to walk to the beach, and easy to walk to the few shops. The rooms are really small, we paced it ....5 steps long and 3 steps wide, and this includes a tiny bathroom with a shower that wets nearly everything. Each room has a small balcony that does help the oppressed feeling. The evening disco next door is really loud so you have to sleep with the doors closed, luckily there is air conditioning. The breakfast were very standard, we enjoyed a few cocktails at the bar, but did not have supper in the restaurant.
The hotel Alamanda is clean, fairly decent level fare but once arrived on site, the room is very small, just the necessary, although the balcony comes to help you feel less oppressed. The bathroom is tiny which ultimately gives a very average service for the price.
This small hotel is awesome and situated in a prime location. Everything is close by: beach, supermarket, nightclub, casino, aquarium. Service is good. Very nice breakfast. Restaurant very good. Entertainment (local singers and bands) several days during the week. Only negative point: the bathroom is tiny. Water splashes everywhere as the shower, toilet and sink are not separated.
Had dinner at the restaurant here a couple of time. The customer service top notch. The food well served. Well cooked worth thw while and quite fair for the area. Ambience is amazing toom having dinner by the poolside with a live band was worth the while
It's quite close to the bus stop and very close to the beach. Also close to the discos and I did not hear any noise from my room. Great price and great staff. There is a swimming pool on location and a restaurant
The hotel is a five minute walk from the restaurants/supermarkets of St. Gilles Les Bains. It is a bit expensive (this is EU after all) and the rooms are quite cramped, but overall it is a nice hotel. The pool is good and most evenings they have live music almost every evening. The breakfast could be slightly better, but the dinner is pretty extensive. Overall Recommended
Spent a week there around 1994. Loved the experience. Staff was super nice. Yes it's a bit outdated now but it's still a very good place to stay in the region. Food was also good, the perks are the view and the pool. Try it, it's worth it.
This hotel will offer a small room especially for two, but really, your visiting the wrong Island if you just want to chill in your room. The dinner and breakfast services are both very good. The servings are hugeee for dinner so maybe ask if ordering an entree (you probably don't need it). The evening bands are great and add a really nice vibe to the start of your night, especially if your heading out to check out the local nightlife. Very cheap cocktails from the bar-perfect for relaxing by the pool, i'd recommend their Pina Coladas :)
This establishment is located in the heart of a very confortable place seaside in l'Ermitage (West coast of reunion) which is the most touristic place for every people (visitors and locals in vacation). As a matter of fact having a 69euros/night hotel in here is pretty good but don't expect luxury. This hotel has been there since I was born...lol. ok it is pretty old but the effort of refurnishing and repainting the precincts make the site look better. The service is ok not exceptional and the room is functional yet very very tiny. The hotel is situated in a very nice garden, well set and green with a cute pool in the middle. Havent tried the restaurant since there is plenty of cute joints for food around, by the sea or on the Main Street. (the Riad has an amazing decor). So the hotel is a good place for what you paid for...…
