I spent 6 nights at the hotel. The hotel has a nice pool area and facilities. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The bar and seating by the pool area is very pretty It is very well situated: the prime beach area is only about 250m away. There is a convenience store 150m to the other side. Smaller shops and restaurants/food outlets are all within walking distance. Would definitely recommend!!
Positive : Nice hotel, great location - close to the beach (within walking distance), nice swimming pool, room was clean and spacious. Negative : Breakfast needs some improvement, the bathroom needs to be refurbished, SOME of the staffs were not so welcoming at all, staff training needed!!!.
We stayed here as a base for exploring the island, though if you want to see everything there will inevitably be some long drives as the roads go round the outside of the island and a limited number into the centre. For the grade and price of hotel we thought this was great. Comfortable rooms, everything convenient, fridge, good shower. Some rooms have more updated facilities than others. The soundproofing from the siding door windows, with the blackout curtains gave good sound and light insulation, and we found our ground floor poolside rooms very quiet and convenient. Lots of noisy pool activity during the day, but that is to be expected. It is not a 5* resort Hotel, so not fair to review it as such! Breakfast, served on the terrace overlooking the pool, was fine, a selection of fresh breads, the usual hotel breakfast buffet (no short-order fresh egg cooking - scrambled eggs available in the buffet) Gym, a table football table, jaccuzzi all available. Nice comfortable seating around the pool area in the evening after the pool was closed, very quiet. There isn't enough parking in the car park but there is plenty on-street just outside the gate. A very short stroll to an excellent supermarket, bars, café, restaurant and beach. Staff on the front desk were helpful and friendly and 3 of the 4 we spoke with were competent in functional English - able to advise on places to go etc.…
Well located, close to the main market area with a supermarket (SCORE) within 5 mins walking from the hotel. We stayed here for 3 days, breakfast spread was adequate. Rooms were nice and clean with basic amenities . Pool area very well maintained with an open bar by the pool, choice of drinks were OK. The biggest problem we faced was the language barrier. Bar one person, no one spoke or understood english. We had to make do with our limited knowledge of the french language. Rooms are equipped with Wifi, speed was OK. Will recommend the hotel mainly for its location . But the front office staffs needs to speak/understand english if they want to welcome international guests.
Well-located (within walking distance of shops and beach), but can be a little noisy either from traffic or children in the swimming pool. Car park is too small for the number of cars and can be difficult to manoeuvre in if full. Reception area is nice although when we arrived there was no-one there and no bell to call anyone, we ended up knocking on a door behind which we heard voices. Room is OK and is equipped with a safe and fridge, but is quite small. Wifi didn't work at one point in the evening, presumably because everyone was connected at the same time?! The curtains in front of the door/French windows are far too long and trail on the floor - it doesn't seem very professional not to have cut them to the right length and hemmed them. An air vent system in the bathroom would be quite good, the shower is good but the stall itself is rather dark.…
The room was incredibly noisy with street traffic, toilet continued to run after using, main light didn't work, and drapes were worn to the point where light was coming in thru small holes. The hotel lobby and pool area were lovely. At breakfast I had to find my own silverware and others noted that the birds were sitting on the bread. Definitely would recommend you find another place.
We spent 4 nights at the hotel. It is very well situated: the prime beach area is only about 250m away. There is a convenience store 150m to the other side. Smaller shops and restaurants/food outlets are all within walking distance. The hotel has a nice pool area and facilities. It is close to the attractions, yet far enough to be away from the noise and bustle. We even walked to the aquarium which is about 1km away, thus avoiding the hectic beach traffic. A memorable stay.
We stayed six nights at Ermitage Boutik Hotel. It's a smallish hotel, quite nicely placed for exploring the local beaches and it's not too far from the main motorway. When we arrived we were taken to our ground floor room which smelled quite musty and the safe didn't work. We asked to change rooms which the front desk was happy to deal with. Breakfast was nice enough. The hotel doesn't serve lunch or dinner so we ate out. The bed in our room was OK but it was on wheels which isn't ideal. The car park is quite tight so you may have to perform some Austin Powers manoeuvres to get in and out. Not a bad place to stay at all, and to be perfectly honest the beauty of Réunion as far as we were concerned was to be out and about in the head-spinningly beautiful interior of the island,so we didn't really spend too much time at the hotel.…
Lovely little hotel. Beautiful pool that was not crowded. The room is a good size (for a French hotel). Air con barely blew air but the room was shaded and did not get hot. The beach is across the road. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. The bar and seating by the pool area is very pretty. Would definitely recommend!!
Photo looks great, but rooms are very tiny. It doesn't have enough space to even open our suitcase. It is fitted in modern style, but the washroom is a very old fashion one with shower curtain instead of shower screen. Nice pool and breakfast area. It is ok just to sleep for the night.
