Once I had found it down the small street, this was a really nice place to stay in Puno - clean and comfortable dorm rooms, warm showers, wifi that worked ok, friendly and helpful staff when it came to directions and booking a bus to Cuzco, decent breakfast, lockers and a very good backpacker atmosphere. I have only good things...

Gilda is the queen bee of this unique little hideaway hostel down a little alley in 1st Quadrant in Puno. Taxi drivers from Juliaca don't find it easily but once you're here you're close to everything. The night I arrived I ate something awful and ended up so sick I had to cancel my two day trip the islands, but...

One of the weirdest hostels I've stayed in - was very small and not many people! No locks on doors, you had to pull the string to open the door. I don't know if it didnt help that I didn't like puno itself! Other than that, the lady on reception was EXTREMELY helpful and lovely

This was one of only two hostels I stayed in while visiting Peru. While the accomodations are average, the staff ( and I believe owner) are fantastic, supportive and kind. They helped me plan a trip by public transport and although communication could have more easily occured in English, they let me practice my Spanish and facilitated my speaking as...

I can only agree with the most recent reviews. This place is absolutely overrated! Many rooms have no window or only towards an open staircase which gets some daylight from the roof. Most annoying was that they have a serious „key issue“ meaning that they never really seem to know which key goes with which room. As there are some...

Super clean hostel with great kitchen facilities. Private double ensuite room was very comfortable and clean. Wifi was very slow in the room. Definitely would recommend this hostel. One suggestion though, blinds should be darker as the room was too bright in the mornings.

We only stayed the one night from a recommendation from a friend. We were very impressed, nice rooms for the price and excellent social areas. Plus the staff are very helpfull. We booked a day trip to Lake Titicaca through them and it was a great experience too. I would defiantly recommend this to others!

I am unsure as to why this hostel has such positive reviews. It wasn't an uncomfortable stay, but in my two nights there there was no hot water, the toilets on the third floor didn't flush, wifi wasn't working for a night, and they were over booked so a friend of mine had to sleep on piece of foam (not...

We decided to go to Puno for the weekend of the Candelaria in February 2014. Due to the good recommendations on Tripadvisor and Hostelbookers we stayed in Inkas Rest for 2 nights. The adventure began just before going into our 6-person dormitory when we saw two people from the staff walking out of the room, giggling and with the underwear...

This was the 3rd time id stayed here as i live in Peru and travel to Puno often. I will never stay here again on principal. The first two stays were fine. Its a nice place with free breakfast and lots of living areas to stretch out and relax. The 3rd stay was terrible! They were doing construction (which i...
