This hostel is tucked away on a quiet street but is less than 10 minutes' walk from the main touristy bits of Puno. I stayed two nights either side of a trip on the lake; my first room was a twin with a 'window' on the stairwell and my second a double with a street window - the latter was...

Simple family hostel, but with a nice cost-benefit price included breakfast (we asked for an early one because of train time and were well served) and an ensuite for a couple. Quiet and well located (walking distance from restaurants). We did not stayed much though...

Hernan was so kind and helpful during our stay, he even let us borrow his heater because we were cold. The hostel itself is clean and comfortable and close to the main square. We felt safe and welcome here.

Myself and my girlfriend arrived into Puno at 5am on the bus from Cusco. We hadn't told Hernan we'd be arriving so early but he still got up and let us sleep in our room. He even let us leave our stuff in our room when we were away on the Uros islands for a night. We had a great...

Clean, quiet, reliable Wi-Fi, hot water, simple breakfast (bread, butter, jam and hot drinks), safe and secure. Hernan, the owner, is a kind, gentle and helpful man. He's resourceful, always available, and helped organise our plans in Puno and Lake Titicaca. When we came back from a few nights on the Lake and he was fully booked, he also helped...

This is a solid budget option 5 minutes walk from the main square. The room whilst not very big was very clean. The bed is comfy and breakfast isn't bad. The staff are very friendly and provide tourist information. It's a good value option.

Very small and cozy hostel. The owner is very friendly and goes out of his way to help. We spent there 4 nights, rooms are clean and no issues with hot water. Breakfast was freshly made every morning. We booked trips and transportation with owner's help, everything was right on time.

My girlfriend and I checked in to the Huchuy Wasi after an overnight bus from Cusco. We were greeted by very friendly staff at 6.30am and was giving a map with all points of interest marked on it. We were then shown to our room which we were delighted by as official check-in was 11am. The room ticked all the...

very kind and helpful owner, we got extra heater as nights are very cold in Puno; breakfast included eggs (unusual in the hostels); hostel close to the main squere, safe to walk around at night, many small shops around, hostel from the outside does not look appealing but like the rest of the city; quick internet

This hostel is good value for money on the edge of town, so it is quiet but within easy walking distance of everything. The staff are very helpful, we arrived in the middle of the night and left really early, and they were there to welcome us and see us off. The breakfast was good and there is a spacious...
