Amazing!!! I really enjoyed everything about Sonesta; the staff (so friendly), the food (🤩), the views (I just couldn’t get enough on how beautiful it looked), and the back door garden with the alpacas was to die for! I really enjoyed everything and wished to have stayed a few more nights but we were only in Puno for a night! If you’re in Puno you have to choose Sonesta for a very comfortable and beautiful experience!

Staff are very attentive and kind. When we were put in a room next to a loud group watching soccer on TV, they were kind to move us to another room. The hotel location has a lovely view, and it was fun to wake up and see the alpacas eating breakfast outside our room. The private harbor was also very convenient. That said, I don't understand how this hotel is rated a four-star property. It feels old and very dated. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) is terrible. The dining room has zero ambiance and smells strange. The rooms have outlets in very strange places that are not convenient. The bathtub didn't drain when taking a shower. The heater focuses only on one bed leaving the other cold. The cement walls look dirty. It's time they updated this property.

Appalling hotel in a fabulous setting. To first impression the rooms are lovely.. the water supply is inefficient.. we had cold water and took about 10 minutes of running taps to get any Luke warm water through… we were too far away from town to eat out sadly as the food was absolutely abysmal… how they got away with serving such rubbish I do not know. Had we not been eating with people we had met on our trip my partner would have complained profusely… it really was disgusting

Nice hotel with nice grounds right on the lake. There isn’t great inventory in the area do it’s nothing fancy and slightly outdated but a good value. Food at the restaurant was yummy (great soups) and the staff was very friendly, helping us set up tours l, ordering taxis and helping us print out all the docs we needed for our entrance to Bolivia. Thanks!

The hotel has very good facilities, the staff is attentive and the food is delicious. I stayed for 02 nights, the lake view is very nice, the tour offered at the hotel is very good, with a guide in English. You feel a fairly hygienic environment and with the corresponding care due to pandemic. Recommended

We got in late after driving from Cusco and were greeting by a grumpy gate guard. This followed by staff who we asked for any kind of recommendations for food since their restaurant was closed and were told there was nothing nearby and nothing they could offer other than a few cans of Pringles. Upon reaching the room, which you could only take the stairs to reach since their elevator was not functioning, we found a not very clean room, with remnants of some kind of sticky food on the bathroom floor, the water from the bathroom sink and tub was brown. After taking an incredibly uncomfortable but necessary shower (3 minutes max) the tub loudly drained for hours into the night. The room was cold with less than sufficient itchy blankets. While the view was beautiful, and the breakfast was actually good, the negatives certainly outweigh the positives here. We did do a boat tour which picked us up from the hotel, through Titicaca Expeditions with a gentleman named Jorge (highly recommend) but if we were ever to go back we would certainly find a better accommodation.…

The hotel was exceptionally clean and staff attentive. We were able to get a boat right out front for our Uros tour. We stayed for dinner as we were too tired to go into town. Food was exceptionally good with a view of the lake. The airlines bumped our flight up a day because airport had to fix runway. The hotel accommodated our earlier departure by giving us credit at their sister hotel in Lima. We really appreciated such consideration

We were here 2 nights in this wonderful location on Lake Titicaca. Our room faced the lake and was a beautifully appointed room. It was August, their winter, so it was cold outside but the room heater worked very well and we were able to sleep comfortably in the room. The room was large with two queen sized beds and comfortable mattress and pillows. The bathroom was also well sized with plenty of counter space for 2 people. We also used the laundry service which did a great job! They put my folding skills to shame. There is also wifi and included water bottles (I believe) which is important in Peru since you cannot drink the tap water. We ate in the restaurant for our included breakfast and ate dinner there as well. My alpaca carpaccio and my entree of the beef dish were excellent. Willy was our waiter in the restaurant both meals and outdid himself with his service, friendliness and excellent English. I hope my review helps to sway your decision to stay here because it was great. Our tour company booked this hotel so we never know city to city what we’re going to get.…

We got to the hotel a bit late and were welcomed very warm! The service was great from A to Z and all the workers were very nice to us and our kids. All the territory of the hotel is green with many flowers, animals like lamas and alpacas go around peacefully. There are many Guinea pigs running in a backyard and enjoying the sun. There are places to sit and rest by the lake and the view of the lake and the mountains is breathtaking! The hotel located outside of the noise of the city but close enough to walk or take a short drive with colectivo for 1 sol per person. The room was clean, comfortable with a lake view that amazed us every morning! Breakfast was good and we overall enjoyed our stay very much! Hope to be back one day!
