This was a really great place to stay! The staff were exceptional - friendly, helpful and accommodating. They really made our visit to Puno a pleasure. Well located, it is a short 10 min walk to the main plaza and a 15-20 min stroll down to the water. The rooms are clean, comfortable, beds warm with plenty of hot water. The included breakfast tasty and prompt. No matter our departure time they were up to help. The coffee by the way is excellent! We were travelling as a family with a couple younger kids and we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
Do not overlook this hotel. Its very clean, the beds are super comfy and the staff were so kind and helpful. Nothing was a problem. The hotel is also very good value for money snd very central. If your staying in puno for a few days or using it as a stopping point to Boliva or Uros islands on lake titicaca this is the perfect hotel.
We had two nice nights in here. The location is central and it is easy to get to the central street with the restaurants and atms. We arrived and had an easy check in. The staff was friendly and helped us to get a tour to Islas Uros the next morning. The rooms were really nice and spacey. No complains. The only negative thing about the hotel is there is no elevator, but that doesn’t matter so much.
The room was nice and the staff great but the hotel in the morning was freezing cold and there was no hot water. The fact that there was only three families staying at the hotel from what I could tell and I couldn’t get hot water is what makes this hotel 1 star. The three things that I care about is a decent bed, a temperature controlled room and a warm shower in the morning. I got one of those things. Just the good bed.
We stayed one night in Mosoq Inn. The service is good. Everything was clean in the room and bathroom. There is heating which is a must. The room and hotel are not charming but for one night it is ok whatever the look. Breakfast is ok but lack of variety.
Stayed here for 3 nights in June. Their triple was roomy with 3 warm twin beds. Space heater helped us keep things toasty. The bathroom was large, tiled, and even had a hair dryer. Good pressure and more than enough hot water. Breakfast was simple with limited options, but the fruit was fresh and the coffee was excellent. Front desk was very friendly, they answered all questions and helped arrange transport. The only real issue was the noise - the first 2 night were quiet, but on the 3rd night - Saturday - some random pop up nightclub opened and they played discotechque until the sun came up. It was like a warehouse rave - just an empty building the rest of the time. The street traffic wasn't loud - this thing was. Wifi was also spotty in the room, but always worked in the lobby or at breakfast. I would stay here again, even if a triple isn't available in the back, away from noise. …
Pros – the staff was really helpful and friendly. Check in/out were easy. Storing our luggage was not a problem. They helped us print our boarding passes and change rooms when we were not happy with the one they selected for us. Our double room, 304, was very quiet as it was in the back and though it was tiring going up and down the stairs at altitude, the staff was quick to help with transporting our luggage. The electric room heater was fantastic. Cons – The room they originally gave us, 201, a triple, was really loud as it overlooked the street and one of the windows was broken and didn’t close all the way. Double room 202 had the same issue. Also, 201’s bathroom window opens to the stairwell which is odd. In 304, the shower had an issue with hot water. It cycled hot to cold, then down to a trickle before finally working properly. Breakfast was limited and the location of the hotel is a 5-10 min walk to the plaza…
The room is very standard, furniture is a bit old but that doesn’t take it away that the staff was very friendly. Heater was offered. Wifi is a bit slow but there are two guest computers. No complaints and i would come back if i visited Puno again.
I visited Puno last year, It was only for two days but wanted to stay longer. First, the rooms are extremely clean and the bathroom has basic amenities, there is really hot water, I went in the winter time, so that's essential. Second, The bedrooms are really comfortable, one of the best I've ever tried in Peru. Finally, Breakfast buffet is avaible with delicious dishe. By the way, Common areas have a particular peruvian touch decoration, I love it!. You need to experience and see that personally.
Hotels in all of Peru, this includes Lima, Cusco, Puno, Ollantaytambo. This is a family run business and they treat you like family. One of the best Continental breakfasts I've ever had. I'd even say it leaned into non Continental with the service, attentiveness. Fresh squeezed orange juice, pineapple juice, etc. Fresh sliced dragon fruit, kiwi, mango, papaya. The service was top notch. They were soo accommodating, from everything from allowing us to store our luggage before checking in, to allowing us to check in early. They worked with us in getting the exact hotel room for 4. Hailed taxis for us. Provided us with maps so we didn't get lost. They also gave us food advice. From Americans that have traveled a lot, thank you SOO much for being so accommodating. You guys are awesome!…
