We only stayed one night at the hotel, as part of a 4D/3N package, with 2 nights in the Wasai Tambopata lodge. This review only covers our stay in the Eco lodge. The location of the hotel is quite good, with views on the Madre Dios river and only one block away from the main square. Friendly service. Our guide...

We booked a room with air-conditioning and river views for 1 night online through their website 3 months before our stay. The booking process was quick and easy and confirmed via Email. We arrived at the airport and our transfer wasn’t there as arranged. We called the lodge but they did not really know what was going on then placed...

By far the WORST hotel of our 3 week trip in Peru. We stayed in a range of hotels and hostels from 2 star to 5 star. The Wasai Maldonado was woeful. - check in: the hotel cancels your reservation via booking.com as they know they will receive a negative review (very few recent reviews). Rude staff. No help with...

The boat ride was nice, but we should have stopped there. And a lesson learned, get more details on trips. The first evening we walked about the back of the cabins looking for spiders, dinner was so-so at best. The next day we spent 4 hours watching birds and then the guide wanted to have my daughter and me walk...

Best quality facilities. Great nature, next to you from the first step out of reception, through the ways, the pool, the rooms, till the port. Great for relaxing watching and hearing birds, "añujes", sloths! :D We almost didn't leave the hotel at any day, cause we didn't need anything else, just for once or twice wanted to pick at the...

Upon arrival as part of a group we were given single rooms. About an hour later some of us were told we had to leave our rooms and find someone to share with. If we didn't move then we had to pay $60. This was because of a cock up within the hotel system. If we wanted a cold beer,...

Was an experience of a lifetime. We were given a room to shower and sleep upon our early arrival and late departure at no extra charge. Staff is amazing and both lodges were so clean and amazing to stay in. Food was amazing as well! We really loved our short tour and I highly recommend it!

We had a great experience right from the beginning. We arrived early on an overnight bus from Cusco- the staff gave us a room to sleep and shower before our tour left at noon. All the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable!! The manager was great! Outgoing and eager to ensure we...

To summarize our experience we initially arrived at the lodge in Maldonado around 7am. The lodge was kind enough to refund our cost of the cab because they would normally pick up from the airport... they gave us breakfast before we were picked up for our 3nights at their Tambopata lodge (see my other review) and we spent a short...

For how much this lodge charges we really felt ripped off. Although the view from our room was beautiful, over looking the river (don't know if all rooms have that though) and the buffet breakfast was great, as well as central location, we found the room to be nothing special, the pool very dirty (dead frogs in it) and the...
