Short Amazon family holiday with two 10y/old kids We liked the resort vibe, relaxed and friendly. The trip down the river to arrive(say 45mins) is long enough to feel you're getting away, but too too long. It didn't bother us that there's no internet or mobile signal ... Great to get away. And no power for a few hours a...

overall very enjoyable location. Great to get out into the Amazon. Not crowded. Good things to know: -they pick you up from the airport -price includes most tours and all food (but not drink) -they try to pair you with the same guide, waiter, etc., which means you spend a lot of time with the folks you flew in with...

Great bungalows. Nice food. Brilliant staff that lead the excursions. If you have trouble choosing an excursion, Lake Sandoval is one I would recommend. We had no phone og internet connection, but it wasn't missed at all. You're in the jungle, you know....:) It will be DARK at night. I mean, really, really dark. I LOVED sleeping in a completely...

We booked an amazing package including machu picchu and this part of the jungle with Uncover Latín América. This part was my favourite. The Lodge itself is incredible 5 Star in every way (Service, rooms, food). The activities aré great and the nights aré the most relaxing ive experienced. Absolutely loved it here.

As others have mentioned, the nighttime sounds like a Disney movie. Yet somehow it's soothing and lets you sleep. Part of it is you're so fatigued. We were there three nights and did three treks of some sort each day. We hadn't reached the rainy season yet, so we didn't need rubber boots. Often we got up early (4 a.m....

So you know those recordings on old Disney records of sounds of the Amazon? Well, they aren't fake. Our bungalow was in the midst of so many noises of birds, monkeys, frogs and other crazy animals it just was unreal. One of the nice workers began lighting candles for all the paths each night. It must have taken 2 hours...

We really had a fantastic time at the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. That was the final leg of our Peruvian trip and a well deserved treat. Everything went perfectly from airport pick up to transfer to hotel by bus&boat. All well organized. We were greeted by a receptionist (who did not know much about our package...and very inexperienced) who took us...

We were in Peru on one of "The Traveling Professor" tours and we stayed at the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Lodge for two nights, beginning on November 14. The lodge itself is wonderfully spacious, beautifully decorated, and well-designed. All meals were included and were of a wide variety, expertly served, and of outstanding quality. I travel a lot, and the meals...
