From the moment I arrived it was a whole new experience. The boat rides, the animals and creatures , the vegetation and flowers, the birds. Things I never thought I would see. The cabana was wow. Pure simple elegance. The food was varied and of great quality. The activities were very different from walking in the tree tops to a...

The Hacienda Conception is like something from a film set, you immediately feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms in the main building can be a little noisy in the evenings but their convenience makes up for that. The staff are very helpful, especially Wendy, The guide Victor was superb, and the expeditions were well organised and interesting. The gardens were...

We spent 3 nights in the wooden chalet on stilts at this wonderful hotel waking to the birds and monkeys morning chorus before heading off on trips and walks in the jungle. The chalets were very comfortable with warm showers, mosquito nets and rechargeable torches (useful as lights go out at 11pm and electric is low wattage). Staff were brilliant...

I think the previous reviewers have just about covered it all; there is little I can add. The lodge, staff, guided excursions, food, etc were all excellent. I would gladly go again at the drop of a hat! Highly recommended!!

Glad we did the three day add on. Each of the individual cabins were so cool! We enjoyed all the jungle tours. 3 days is enough. Some people were staying 4, but there were not enough tours for 4 days. A few tips: There is NO airconditioning and it is HOT!!! We took 4 showers a day! The good news...

This was one of the highlights of our three week holiday to Peru. We were greeted at the airport in Puerto Maldonado and taken the short distance by minibus to the river, where we had a transfer by boat to the lodge. All our luggage was taken care of on the transfer and it was a delightful way to arrive...

The individual lodges were delightful. Lovely huge double bed with full mosquito net a good shower and lovely balcony with large sofa all net enclosed. The site was well laid out with flowers and birds all around. The main centre served all the food and drink, nothing allowed in the rooms due to possible animal invasion. The organised tours were...

It was all we had imagined and more., The cabin was great, of course it was hot but with the fans on most of the time it was quite comfortable. The staff were wonderful and the food superb. Everyone there all took great pride in their work. The excursions we took were so well thought out and Fray or guide...

This place is amazing. I was so relieved when I got there. I was a little nervous that you would have to sleep with all the creepy crawlies but that was not the case at all! Location: perfect location. 20-30 mins boat ride down the river. In the middle of the rain forest. Although the grounds are superbly kept and...

Travelled solo and was matched up with a group of women and allocated a guide for the two -three days. Magical place, so peaceful. Trips were great. Guide brilliant. Accommodation excellent. Food delicious. Those 6 mad women made me laugh so much. Just the start I needed for my South American trip.
