I wnat to go back and visit this amazing place: Sandoval Lake. This lagune was formed naturally as the natural course of the river changed. In the Amazon nothing last for ever! It is so natural!!! The scenery is diverse, spontaneous... It is honestly breeathtaking. There are lodges for an aditional adventure of staying in the middle of the natural...

We had the most amazing 4 days at the lodge. Fantastic trips on the lake and great jungle walks. Our guide Oscar was very knowledgeable and interesting. A big thank you to All the staff who helped when my husband realised that he had left his passport on the plane from Lima to Puerto Maldonado. They took him to get...

We stayed three nights and had a very good experience! All meals are provided, all meals come out in courses, very good! Always something a little different, but keep in mind, everything has to come by boat, then carried in by hand. The room and grounds are very clean. We stayed in room 13, from the room we seen all...

Two friends and I retreated at Sandoval Lake Lodge for 2.5 days after hiking Salkantay Trail. It was great having a couple of down days in the jungle exploring the wildlife, flora and fauna. We went with Oscar of Jungle Pro in Puerto Maldonado. What a fun guy and guide! We managed to see sloth, Cayman, otters, lots of birds...

The setting is spectacular. We loved the wildlife and got to see and hear monkeys, birds. Also saw some incredible insects. We were prepared as we'd read the details beforehand. The lunch offered to us in the boat ride was very good. The trek to the lodge was difficult as there had been heavy rains. It was so hot and...

To be honest this was the one part of my contiki tour I was dredding... but now it was one of my highlights. The trek through the mud to get there just added to the experience. We got too see monkeys, otters, caiman, bats and lots of birds. The lodge itself was nice, and staff were lovely. I did have...

We'd read about the trek to reach this lodge on TripAdvisor so we were reasonably prepared. However the heavy rain immediately before we set off had left the track inches deep in slippery muddy water, so in the heat and humidity it was really quite a challenging hike. Once we arrived, the lake is indeed beautiful, and the lodge although...

Dear guest Thank you for sharing your experience. We are glad you were able to see so many animals. You need to bear in mind that Tambopata is a protected area and work to fix trails are not allowed as it changes the enviroment for animals therefore during the rainy season (Mid Nov until mid March approx) the experience is...

I found this place very different to anywhere I've ever stayed before. The staff are amazing, very welcoming and knowledgeable and clearly very passionate, which was lovely! The whole experience wasn't really my cup of tea as I'm NOT a nature person but I wanted to try something different than the usual beach/city breaks, and this was definitely different! Breakfast...
