We stayed for 3 days and the service was OK, but could use a little more professionalism at the front desk. The desk was ran by two girls who were more interested in talking to each other than helping us. The rooms were clean and the hotel is centrally located.

This is nice hotel, located in a very good location; near everything in David. The attention is not great but is passable; the rooms are comfortable enough with hot water. The restaurant is also ok. I sent a weekend with my wife and the first night we have a problem with the remote control of the AC; we complain and...

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was very nice. Very close to all shopping. TV was small. I don't know if breakfast was included (wasn't told and didn't ask). I didn't eat any meals in the restaurant so I can't say anything about it. I read earlier about problems with the key locks. My lock was difficult, too. You have...

The Puerta del Sol was the best economy hotel we stayed in while in Panama. Our room was quite comfortable, overlooked part of David, and was air conditioned. The cost was a mere $36 plus tax! You can't beat that! In addition, the hotel staff members were very friendly. The hotel is centrally located for walking around the main part...

Having spent some time in Panama City two months earlier, I was extremely pleased with the differences i experienced in David. In the capital I paid $150 for three nights in a clean but modest hotel. At Puerta del Sol I found a well-located hotel in a well-maintained older building with all the facilities I required in top-notch condition at...

It's a nice place, well located. Parking spots are tight but there was always one available. We arrived half hour earlier than check-in time and our room was ready in barely 10 minutes. Card key is a little tricky sometimes, you'll need to insert and remove twice in order to open. Room was very neat. Daily room service. We had...

I stayed there three nights to budget a little and then moved to a better hotel for the amenities. This one does not have many. A little noisy but not bad. The restaurant was excellent, well priced and the waiters were friendly and professional. The other staff in the lobby were not terribly friendly and generally only greeted you if...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Puerto del Sol for about a week. This hotel was very clean and quiet, but not luxurious. The bed was good, the room was large, and showers were hot. Most of the staff members speak only a tiny bit of English. However, when we were there, they tried to have one person on...

January 2010 1 night US$35/night Old hotel in center of town, clean but spariingly furnished, no windows to outside just a building, noisy tile floors in hall and rooms. Adjacent restaurant with inexpensive food, formally set tables and waiters, however, fluorescent lights made it glaringly cold and lacking ambiance.
