We didn't stay @ the hotel but did have a few meals there. We had breakfast, lunch, and two dinners. The irony we encountered was on our last night @ the resort we stayed at. There was a film crew @ the resort filming a reality show about how to improve their hotel. The staff were always courteous, some spoke...

We checked into the Las Olas resort on the 19th of Feb 2015. Don't let the main photo fool you. We were given a very small room which had lots of dead bugs on the floor and bedding. There was no room for luggage. Four fuzzy channels in Española only. Geckos running around the room. The pillows and bedding were...

We needed a hotel near David on our way south to Panama City and decided to stay at Las Olas. This big hotel needs a major renovation to bring it up to today's standards. The pool is small and a dangerous rip tide makes the beach undesirable. With all the new resorts springing up around Panama in better locations, time...

About 30 minutes outside of the bustling city of David, we found a tranquil haven in Las Olas Beach Resort on Playa La Barquetta. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with tropical foliage, swimming pools, swim up bar, turtle ponds, amazing beach and best of all, every room at Las Olas has an outstanding ocean view. Our room was very comfortable,...

If you take the time to get to know the staff, you will uncover very helpful people who are both knowledgeable about the area and Panama in general. Both managers, Evan and Haxaria, were exceptionally helpful. The evening manager, Haxaria, the one we spoke with the most, was fluent in both Spanish and English and eager to solve any problems...

Beautiful location on the ocean. Love the swim up bar! We have been there several times and always enjoy our stay. However, this resort no longer offer the all inclusive which we really liked. Great food at the restaurant and everything is reasonably priced.

Unbelievable setting sets Las Olas apart. Spectacular volcanic beach that is other wise isolated. Great pool, food, and setting. We spent New Years and the time before and after and will be back. Great party on NY eve on the beach with fireworks, dancing, and great people.

This resort is very beautiful. Nice restaurant, two swimming pools, right on the ocean, beautiful beach, friendly and co-operative staff. The rooms are reasonably priced and very nice, although small. The tiny patios look right out onto the ocean. Unfortunately it is very far out in the middle of nowhere (about a half hour from David) and the road is...

OK, this "resort" may be lacking in many respects, but I don't know of any other decent beach hotel where you can spend as little as we did per night and be able to open your door to a view of the Pacific, and pop a cerveza on your private veranda. We stayed there midweek in mid December, and the...

You can walk miles on the beach...The only thing is there are no places to stop and have a drink after awhile. Low tide is great, it is so flat... Enjoyed the pool and all of the helpful people there. There are a couple of local places next to this place that we enjoyed going to.
