Gaia's Hostel is located two blocks off the main road in Boquete and has a quiet surrounding. Although everything seemed to be in place, also within the hostel there was not much atmosphere. Good value. Proper and clean room. Because of the concrete and low ceiling it felt a bit like a bunker. Faced the garden and had its own... More

I stayed here 6 nights, and it was great. Everything was really clean, and the staff was lovely. It's really quiet, which was exactly what I wanted. I can party hard with the best of them, but I enjoy going back to a nice, tame hostel to sleep. P.S. I found a spiral that must have been left by a... More

Immaculately clean hostel that was well suited to our needs. The receptionists couldn't speak any English but was very accommodating to our poor Spanish! Stayed in the dorm room which was very clean with its own private bathroom. We were the only guests for part of the time we stayed there but this suited us well. There is a lovely... More

The hostel is just a couple hundred meters behind the main town centre. Every room has its own shower and toilet (in the same room). Beds were clean and made upon arrival. There is no AC, but as this town is located up on a mountain hill, almost nobody will need it anyway. There was no breakfast included: they do... More

Set in a quiet residential neighborhood yet only two blocks from the business district. Very clean, well maintained, fully stocked kitchen and a friendly and helpful staff. The backyard has a lawn and furniture for relaxing by the river and a great spot for pitching your own tent (limited availability).

I stayed here with two friends in a 6 bed dorm. The room itself is nice with lots of storage space. The beds are comfy though there is one top bed in the room that has no head space , I don't know why someone would pay to sleep here ! Bathroom is nice and big with hot water but... More

This was a great little hostel to stay in. The hostel room was nice and the bed was conformable. It was a nice quite place which had larger rooms for families and was a great jumping off point. You really do feel like you are walking into someones home which is nice - a kitchen for cooking and a living... More

The hostel itself was great and the staff helped me find a cab on Christmas eve to take me up to Volcán Barú. The one thing is that it is on a little gravel road off a foot bridge and no one seemed to know its name or where it is. You need to head to the Peruvian seafood restaurant... More

After the craziness of Bocas it was nice to stay in this quiet hostel for a few days. The rooms are clean and the bunks are comfortable enough. If you are looking for a quiet place to recharge then this is your spot. If you want more social interactions then Hostel Refugio Rio is a better choice.

I'm very bitter about my experience here. My boyfriend and I stayed here for almost a week and the night before our departure, one of the receptionist told us that once we check out, we won't be able to use the kitchen or bathrooms. Gee, thanks. It rained hard on our check-out date but we got kicked out anyway. I... More

“Reserve one of the private rooms with ensuite baths; Room #5 is best, is in a separate and private cabina. To get warm or hot water from the shower, turn on the water only a little. Using the full pressure will give you a very cold shower.”

“the one in the back in the main building was quieter in my opinon. The hostel area upstairs was clean and nice. Full kitchen . one bathroom, bunks and a big t.v. with movies and books available. Free coffee if I remember correctly. no A/C or fan, may need a fan in the hotter months, but not necessary most of the time”
