After the first 4 days in Oman, we moved on to a room in the Sheraton with lounge access for the next few days and we have not regretted this step.
The entire staff is always helpful and friendly and tries to make the stay as pleasant as possible. This is all the more so because it is mainly business travelers who stay here and normal tourists are in the minority.
The "club rooms" are on the 14th floor and therefore, depending on the location, have the very best view of the city. There was nothing to complain about in terms of condition and size, and if there was, housekeeping would have changed it immediately.
The more than plentiful breakfast also leaves nothing to be desired, especially since many different cultures are catered for.
The best decision, however, was to opt for a room with lounge access. Drinks and coffee are always available, as well as a "happy hour" from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., during which there was the option of a light evening meal in addition to non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks (more than enough!!!
The friendly and lovely staff (Tabesha (?), Ralyn and Almass - thank you!), with whom we had one or two long conversations and who always looked after us, made these evening hours particularly special.
The pool area can also be used for a short - or long - relaxing cool down.
The hotel is not directly on the water or in the "life", but it is very easy to reach with a rental car.

Sheraton Oman sits off Bait al Falls Avenue, one of the main thoroughfares in Manama. It's a relatively tall and large hotel with a decent driveway.

The lobby is expansive and inviting, with the reception counter right opposite the main door. The breakfast dining place sits off to one side.

Entering the room, we were impressed with the size of the regular room; there was so much space. The woodwork - tables and cabinets - were of high quality and nicely designed. the floor and night table lamps were similarly nice-looking. We had so many English-language TV channels that we were spoiled for choice. They had a hot water kettle and a coffee maker, plus 4 free water bottles (most hotels tend to give only two bottles). There were two art pieces on the bedroom walls and one in the bathroom, which we appreciated. The headboard was modern style and the pillows were soft and not too thick, as we found in the other hotels.

The T&B was ordinary but at least the wash basin wasn't the rectangular flat type that we encountered all too often - Wyndham's was a circular curved bowl that moved the water to the drain hole very quickly. You took the shower inside the tub.

We appreciated - the long L-shaped sofa bed beside the window (since we were only a couple, we used it to lay down our two large luggage pieces); the easy-to-use ac wall control panel; the mihrab-shaped opaque window between the T&B and bedroom.

What we didn't appreciate - the window was only half the short wall, and was quite high from the floor; one of the night tables didn't have an outlet; and the hairdryer wasn't connected to the T&B wall (you had to plug it and look for a place to set it down).

Breakfast was on the ground floor. They had an egg station (this is always a plus point for us) and the waiters volunteer to get you coffee. Food was of quite wide variety - which included salmon, which surprised us. The breakfast staff were all very courteous.

The Sheraton Oman Hotel is an exceptional experience, distinguished by its attentive and pleasant staff. The comfort of the rooms is remarkable, each meticulously maintained to ensure a serene and restful stay. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness is evident throughout, particularly in the housekeeping services, which are impeccable. A diverse array of dining options adds to the allure, catering to a variety of tastes and preferences. I was especially impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, and I would like to extend my special thanks to Rabbi, whose dedication to maintaining a spotless environment contributed significantly to the enjoyment of my stay.

We enjoyed our stay.
The hotel's location is perfect for everyone.
We loved the services especially our housekeeper (tafajjal)who always made our rooms perfectly and added towel arts, in courtyard restaurant susan was so accomodating and served us so well.
The chef at the waffles station was amaizing and always made our orders without asking us.
We really enjoyed our vacation and would definetly consider coming again.

We had a king room that was spacious, clean and comfortable and had great views of the mountains. It was also a bargain for a Sheraton, which is mainly due to its location in Ruwi rather than one of the more popular areas on the coast. With Muscat being such a spread out city, we found this location surprisingly convenient (we had a car and weren’t relying on taxis or ubers). The motorways make zipping across to any part of the city easy and fast.

We met the smiling and helpful Ibrahim on the desk when we checked in, and he set the tone for our stay. Keshika was our waiter in the lounge of an evening during happy hour, and she was proactive, eager to please and good at her job. All staff we encountered were friendly and competent, making excellent impressions for our first days in the country.

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel where the guiding philosophy seems to anticipate and provide everything a traveller could desire from a lovely location among palm trees, swimming pools, really good food with multiple areas in which to eat, very comfortable rooms, and well decorated throughout. The staff is amazing, efficient, warm and friendly. Special kudos to Mansurat for her advice and always smiling help. All in all, a serene, relaxing stay that we won't soon forget.

The entire hotel staff are accommodating and friendly. The receptionist Omar acknowledged my husband’s birthday the day we arrived. A birthday cake was sent to the room.

Housekeeping staff, especially Ram and Gopi were very helpful and made us feel comfortable with fresh bed sheets, towels and fluffy pillows.

The breakfast selection was exceptional at the Courtyard. The meals prepared and offered by Chefs Talal, Krishnan, Saimon and Govind were excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed South Indian Breakfast and local Omani food. The chef’s special fresh juice was absolutely delicious!

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We would love to stay at this Sheraton hotel again!

Mr. Tofajjal has been a great resource, always willing to help with a broad smile.
I have been staying here at the Sheraton, Muscat since 16th October and have had an excellent experience. Mr.Tofajjal has been very professional in his approach and ensures the room is tidy and required items are replaced accordingly. I wish him the very best in his professional career.

We were here as a family. We were given two rooms next to each other with a connecting door, which was very helpful.

The service is really excellent, the people extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is huge and has a selection of cold and warm dishes from all over the world.

The swimming pool in the courtyard is big enough for swimming and playing. The only disadvantage is that the hotel is so close to the road.

The fitness area is huge. There is even a separate fitness area for women.

The food selection in the evening was sufficient and the food was freshly prepared and extremely tasty.

Overall, we would love to come back
