Room very good and the Hotel stay was very good, Food was OK. We had a good Business review meeting, The arrangements are very good and the games offered are exciting. Over all I would recommend all ie the Locals and other expatriates and alsoincluding Foreigners to come and stay at Dunes By Al Nahdha. The Way to Dunes can be Improved which will attract lot of Visitors including the Residents to come and stay during week ends and also on Holidays/Leave.
We had a wonderful stay with friendly and attentive service. The fresh breakfast and homemade bread was particularly delicious. The views are stunning, we loved walking and quad biking around the dunes. It’s a unique experience and well worth it.
My wife and I were the only guests at the time of our stay at Dunes, which likely influences my experience of the resort. If the facilities were in use by other guests, then the resort's need for some significant renovations would be less glaring. The buzz of other people around the resort would have made the sounds of racing cars in the surrounding dunes fainter. Of course, there is something to be said for the solitude of the desert, which we shared only with staff and local wildlife. We loved the frog chorus that rang out from the swimming pool at sunset. The bird song that surrounded us at breakfast was beautiful. We had both breakfast and dinner at the resort. Given the chef was cooking just for us, the quality and freshness of the food came as a pleasant surprise. The effort staff made to ensure our stay was enjoyable was impressive (after they got over the surprise of having guests arrive). A special thank you goes to Annabelle, who served us our food and drink in such a charming and capable manner. Dunes offers a good simulacrum of a remote, desert camp for those without the time or inclination to travel further afield from Muscat. However, its proximity to dune bashers and a large highway means that those looking for a truly peaceful, isolated experience will need to look further afield.…
If you are in Oman ,Never miss out on any opportunity to visit this resort ,a complete paradise within the Sand Dunes 🏜 Do visit this Resort , As you will have a complete different experience of stay in comparison to other Resorts in Oman. Good points- 1.Staff is very friendly and are always up for putting their best efforts to make customer happy and Satisfy with their services. Specially Annabelle , Mubarak and Dave. 2.Provide you with so many activities to play around within the walls of resorts for all kind of age groups that always keeps you occupied and you don't feel bored at any point of time. 3.They have multiple Dining locations in their property that one should and must explore. 4.My suggestion to the travellers travelling for the first time, prefer Expressway route to reach here. Points to be Considered- 1.Please arrange proper Direction boards so that it is easy for travellers travelling for the first time to find the resort.…
Dunes by Al Nahda spent three nights at Dunes by Al Nahda from November 24th to 27th this year. I was looking for some peaceful destination to spend my time after a hectic work week in my office. I Googled the place and booked my stay for one night at first. This resort is in beautiful location, the check-in experience and the open reception idea is out of the box thinking. Which gives the first glimpse of this luxury resort. The traditional architect of old Omani tradition is the experience guest will receive in Dunes resort. Open area restaurant Fleur varieties in food, F&B team is highly skilled Mr. Akshay, Nikhil and Guy from Kashmir Mr. Sheikh they are highly guest centric. Offering varieties in food both veg and non veg. Swimming pool and weather is amazing throughout the day. Due to this amazing experience I extended my stay for two more nights, the next day my kids tried the quad bikes. Quad bikes, camel 🐪 ride, bunker ⛳ golf, volleyball court, bycycles 🚲 are things to do here. Mr. Sanjeev Thakur, resort manager is so helpful and explained the idea behind behind dunes by Al nahda, very polite and humble guy, representing the essence of word 'Hospitality'. Overall it's a must visit place, 5 star ⭐ service, location & staff.…
The resort is one hr drive from Muscat. The location on the google is slightly incorrect. The access road for the last part is not a paved road so 4 Wheel drive is recommended. The staff is excellent and great service. The swimming pool is cold and not heated and impossible to use in winter months . The pool is also not cleaned neither any one is supervising the swimming pool. The restaurant is super expensive and in fact very limited options. The tents are luxurious but now showing signs of aging . One of our room was having smell from toilet. Their is lot of noise disturbance from the quads bikes from the nearby sand dune. The break fast was okay. Overall the resort is not the worth the money you spend. There are really good authentic Desert camps/resorts in Oman at much better price and facilities. …
I was so excited to visit Dunes. The idea of it all and the photos I had seen. It seemed like an unusual luxury getaway. The staff are, by far, the best thing about this resort. From reception to restaurant staff to porters and cleaners. All provided a fantastic quality of service - some of the best I have experienced in 3 years living in Oman. They were attentive, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The tent accommodation is the next best thing. We had one of the spacious Royal Tents. Comfortable beds and seating areas, nice bathrooms. A really unusual type of accommodation and it felt special. Thankfully curfew was on and so the noisy dune racers had to stop and go home by 7pm. The restaurant was offering a good (reduced) menu for breakfast and dinner. Dinner started too late for us and so we had room service and the food quality was excellent. The menu changed each evening. Breakfast was good too. Service throughout was excellent. Sadly what lets the Dunes down overall is it’s facilities. Entirely understandable that activities could not take place during the COVID restrictions. However, the pool is unusable. It is not heated and even sitting baking in the sun the water does not get warm enough to use. My son was almost blue, crying and shaking after trying to swim in it. The staff admitted that from about October to March no-one uses the pool. Clearly this meant it also wasn’t cleaned often and there was a large number of big beetles and other bugs in the bottom of the pool. This meant that at Dunes there was nothing to do. We tried lounging around the pool but many of the sun loungers and parasols were broken, and the cushions covered in bird poo. There was also a big problem with flies/bees/wasps. There are no staff by the pool so if you need assistance, a drink etc you need to walk up to the main reception area. We couldn’t settle anywhere without feeling uncomfortable and so spent most of our stay in our tent. Sadly, despite beautiful surroundings and excellent staff I can’t really recommend Dunes. There is nothing to do there, especially at the moment. The staff did their best, giving my son rides on the carts used for transporting people and luggage, and giving him a kite to use. But sadly, we won’t return to the Dunes.…
I had been to this place for weekend with friends and family. The place was perfectly clean and tidy. All precautions for COVID were in place including 2 days tents closure. Staff was very helping and courteous. Check in check out was smooth. Breakfast served had lot of variety for vegetarian food. Surely recommended.
Excellent staff who take care of you. Family friendly getaway close to home. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Lovely views. Close to the city so easy to get to. Great activities on the dunes or just watch enthusiasts in the evening.
My family was wondering where to spend a good weekend, my reply was why to worry while Dunes Resort is there to kill all the worries 😊 then I decided to take them there for a weekend getaway and as soon as we arrived they were already impressed with the place as well as the special lovely welcome from the Resort staff and specially Ms. Pallavi who helped med a lot to make it a smooth reservation and easy quick check in with a big smile. We were well taken care of. The rooms were fabulous and wow 🤩. The dinner was delicious, it took a time to prepare but positively taken that little delay as a proper food arrangement from the order process to the dining time. It was wow 🤩. The family (Adults and Kids) were impressed with the food taste, quality, presentation and the excellent service from the chef and his crew that night (28th August,2020). We drove from Suhar which is almost 3 hours far from the resort but the trip was worth as we all felt relaxed and spoiled by well taken care of by the Resort team. WELL DONE 😊👍 Dunes Resort Management Keep that high standard of the excellent quality service you are providing and am sure you will sustain the position being the Best of the Best 🤗👍 Resort.…
