Detailed Reviews
This is an honest review. We checked in feb 17-18 2020. When we arrived at the resort, we were dissapointed bec that very day, their pool was scheduled for maintenance. I told the Omani receptionist that we drove 3 hours just to spend my birthday there and the pool is closed, they should have informed us ahead of time. The receptionist was very accomodating and was kind enough to give us options and apologized, he even gave his phone so we can call other resort. That time i called Akilesh(manager) he apologized and said that he would make sure that our stay would be enjoyable, we opted to stay despite of the pool being closed. Our decision was not a mistake, the place was awesome, the rooms were spacious that my son got tired of running inside.the place is full of nature away from the busy life. The air was so fresh bec of alot of trees. All you can hear are birds, its a place where you can relax and meditate. I would like to commend Sajid of the their restaurant, he treated my family perfectly, food and service was excellent. The best thing about al nahda resort and spa is not only the place, its how they treat their guest. A negative situation turned into positive bec of perfect customer service.

Response from Arup Singhdeo, General Manager at Al Nahda Resort & Spa
Responded 26 Feb 2020
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time out to review us on this travel forum. At the outset, please accept our sincere apologies for the pool closure. It was indeed unfortunate, however necessary. But we are indeed delighted to hear that you had a comfortable stay and thank you for your positive comments. We are glad that we could make up for the inconvenience you faced with the pool closure. Thank you once again for your feedback. The team and I remain at your service and look forward to welcome you back. Warm Regards Arup Singhdeo Resort Manager Al Nahda Resort & Spa

We stayed for two nights at Al Nahdha Resort. Although we had got free upgradation to Premium suite, we chose to stay in executive suite due to its proximity. The property when we visited was almost empty due to covid. Buffet dinner and breakfast was also not available, though plenty of option available for breakfast and dinner. The food was amazing in taste and sumptuous. Bar option is less due to less crowd in recent days. Full lush green trees and bird chirping all day long made our stay more relaxing and enjoyable and most importantly due to Mr. Abhishek (the resort manager), he is complete all rounder serving multiple duties together to make the guests’ stay more comfortable.
Note: property is going under renovation soon and expected to attract tourist in coming days.
I would definitely recommend this resort going for relaxing holidays.

Visited Al Nahda after a long while.
The resort has well maintained the plants and trees, it is rare to have such a large green garden resort in the middle east. Walking and cycling through the property was enjoyable.
However, the property have overall lost it's charm, except the lush greenery.
Many old facilities are non-functional, mainly after covid shutdown.
Dining at Restaurant was not restarted, but they delivered the meals to the room.
Swimming pool area is still scenic, but pool is not maintained well.
Rooms are spacious but lost the old charm.
There were only very limited gusts, we felt like the whole property belonged to us.

We chose Al Nahda because we came from Jebel Shams and did not want to return to the capital right away and they offered a very good price online. As the photos looked nice, we decided to book. Oh boy were we surprised when we arrived at the gates of the resort. This place is huge! Just few examples - they give you a map so you could find your bungalow (and it still was not easy) and there are bicycles available on the property for reaching different parts of the resort. The check-in was smooth and the receptionist very welcoming and helpful. Their restaurant was closed for maintenance so they offered a breakfast in our chalet instead and this was perfect for us (preordering was very easy through Whatsapp). The food arrived right on time and they even added some small things in addition to what we ordered.
Our bungalow was actually not a bungalow but a full size house with an enormous bedroom/living room, kitchen, bathroom with an small pool inside (!) and a nice terrace in front of the house. The parking was also in front of the house but it could get quite tight if all the houses are full as the pathways inside the living areas are rather tight. As there were not many guests during our stay, we had all the space in the world. From all the services they offer there, we only used the huge pool area which was really nice. And having the nature photography as a hobby, the early morning just after the sunrise was like a paradise for me. So many different birds flying around and so many beautiful locations for trying to capture the photos!
All in all - a wonderful experience and Al Nahda definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable, lodging much more that we expected and the general areas of the resort absolutely beautiful. So maximum points from me and I definitely recommend this place.

We had gone to Al Nahda resort for a one night stay during the oman national day holidays.
The check in took a good 40 mins and one could easily make out that they had not planned adequately for the holiday rush.
While the resort itself is spread over a vast area, it hardly has any facilities especially for young children. They have swimming pool (no towels when we went in the morning) and cycles . The only think we liked about the property is the lush green surroundings and the open spaces.
The rooms itself were barely maintained. We had two rooms booked and faced a range of issues including TVs not working, geyser issue, telephone not working etc. While the dining area was spaced out well, they were not serving food in the rooms. This was especially concerning considering that few ppl would prefer to have food in their room considering the risk with many ppl in the buffet area. My inference is that they dint have enough staff to service all the guest.
To top it, the buffet was priced high and was not at all value for money.
All and all, not a very good experience. I hope they make better use of the huge property which they have and put it to good use.

My wife and I spent one night at the Al Nahda Resort & Spa. (The itinerary for our Oman road trip is below.) The impression is that someone once had a vision of a resort on a large piece of property. If there ever were crowds they have long stopped coming and the over large rooms, restaurant and conference center lie dormant and under maintained. Our room had two AC units. Using one caused the power in the entire room to go out and we waited 30 minutes in the dark for the maintenance person to come. He got the power back on. The other AC unit worked for a couple of hours then stopped cooling. By this time we were ready to sleep and just decided to live with it. Bed was reasonable. TV was grainy signaled. See my photo of the bathroom to see if it would work for you.
I will say that the staff (maintenance, restaurant) here were very kind and helpful. But there needs to be some infrastructure investment for me to recommend staying here.

Al Nadha is a beautiful, enormous property and has activities to do for all age-groups. Stayed with family and friends over the new year, was lots of fun, taking walks, cycling, swimming etc. The staff is extremely kind and professional, especially Mr.Abhishek . It is a magical getaway not very far from the city. Would recommend 100%.

Hi the in room menu is more or less the same as offered by the resorts restaurant Al Khalab and would cost around GBP 40/- for two or around RO 20/- in local money..Other options like McDonalds or KFC are available within a 10minute drive to the main junction...
"rooms near the pool will be good as it will allow you good access to pool and restaurant."Read full review
