My stay at the Protea Hotel Long Beach, Walvis Bay on the 21st of September 2016 was AGAIN disappointing and unpleasant, even more so than September 2015. Although Jane at Reception was very friendly, most helpful and accommodating and Room 13 beautiful and spacious with a sea-view, it unfortunately doesn’t compensate for an extremely dirty room. I do understand that...

Rooms are dirty, freedges do not work, no towels to mention a few It is a NO Go for me until I see a different review about improvement. We stayed here for three nights with our two children in a sea view room. Room clean, bright and airy except for some of the curtains that smelt like someone had wiped there behind on it. Complained twice and nothing was done. No towels provided on first night. We had a balcony overlooking the sea. Nice view would have been...

We had booked in for 3 nights but left after the first night and have asked our travel agent to arrange a refund. The place is filthy, cannot see out the windows. No air on, broken fan. My colleague had no kettle. My kettle was filthy. Light bobs not working. None of the tables had been cleared when we went...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my two kids 12 and 13. The hotel is well located between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay and very close to the dunes and dune adventures. The beach is on your doorstep, although cold, but you do get beautiful sunsets. We arrived and they could not find our reservation but did provide us with...

The room: is large, clean and serviced. If you're looking for somewhere comfortable to put your head down at night, this hotel works just fine. If you're looking for luxurious furnishings, spend the extra and check into a 5-star hotel. The breakfast: for a very reasonably-priced 3-star hotel, the breakfast was good. A small selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, cold...

The hotel is situated on the coast road about 15 kilometers before Walvis Bay about 250 meters from the sea. You will need to know which turnoff to take into Longstrand as there are no signs to tell you which turn off to take and after driving from Windhoek and arriving in the dark [1700 hrs winter time] finding the...
