Quaint, quiet, homely environment. We were greeted by Beethoven, the Pr of the B&B.. The place has a real authentic atmosphere!. Place is of great quality and very high standards’ found the staff to be friendly. I've not been disappointed. Sam is friendly and very helpful, breakfast is particularly good. The place is a walking distance to town. I am...

I travelled to Swakopmund for the weekend and decided to stay at Sam's place for two nights. When you arrive, you are greeted by Beethoven (Sam's friendly Berner Sennen and apparently the public relations manager) and of course the owner, Sam. The hotel is located only a few minutes away from the center of town and the beach. Sam is...

I spent already two nights at Sam's Giardino in 2012 and wanted to "do it again" in 2013. Sam's Giardino is the right place to stay, when one wants to combine heartly hospitality and fine sense of dining. The rooms are clean, the surrounding is quiet, the dog "Beethoven" is great, Sam is doing an excellent guest relation, the kitchen...

We had a lovely two night stay here and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food (breakfast is particularly good and the evening 5 course meal is both good value and high quality), comfortable rooms and, of course, Sam's PR man Beethoven the Bernese Mountain Dog. I'm surprised by some of the negative comments I've read as we found the staff to...

I had a delightful 3 day vacation staying at Sam's Giardino hotel in Swakopmund. Actually, it is more of a Bavarian guest house than a hotel. The furnishings, decor, bar, and dining room are right out of Bavaria or southern Germany. Herr Samuel Egger and his staff made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door. I...

It was our second time at Sam's Giardino. We enjoyed the 2-night-stay in this small and cosy hotel with a beautiful garden. The food was delicious and the wine excellent! Many thanks to Sam, his Giardino Team, including "Beethoven".
