Stayed at Royal Benguela in August 2015 for two nights traveling with a group of friends. Adie, Mac and Martha were great hosts and made sure that we were well looked after. The rooms were immaculate (my wife and I were lucky to get the suite - large bedroom and huge bathroom!) and the lounge area very relaxing. We also...

Described as one of the best B&B's in Swakopmund, we experienced different. The owners weren't home when we arrived and the younglady switched on the hotwatersystem too late. After a long day drive we had a cold shower :-( In winter it can be cold and damp in Swakopmund, but the owners do not turn on the heat inside nicely....

We had no expectations for our stay at The Royal Benguela and were overwhelmed with their hospitality, which makes it worthy of a good word. We stayed for two nights in June on our Namibian journey and were made to feel completely at home. The staff were the friendliest, most approachable, smiling faces who attended to all of our needs,...

Recently had the opportunity to stay at Royal Benguela Guesthouse while on a business trip to Namibia. I was greeted with a warm welcome into the luxury environment. The staff are pleasant and cannot do enough for you to ensure your comfort. The rooms are clean, and pleasant to stay in. The breakfast was extensive and included a cheese board,...

I had a family visit last week and managed to break way for a few days to take my mom to visit Swakopmund. We stayed at the Royal Benguela and in my moms words, were treated like royalty. Sadly, the Swakop weather was not the best, but our stay at the Royal Benguela definitely made it worthwhile.

This guest house is pet friendly! The staff are efficient, helpful and make you feel very welcome. The breakfast is very good, with a a variety of breads, muffins, fruit juices, cold meats and a cheese platter in addition to a cooked breakfast. The rooms are well appointed and super clean. Mac and Adie Macgregor run a delightful establishment that...

I have been here before and this time spent 3 nights, again having a wonderful stay. Adie, Mac and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. It is really enjoyable staying here. Sitting on the balcony at the end of the day, watching the sun drop behind the see is a magnificent experience.

This B&B was out of sync with all the remote lodges we stayed at in in Namibia and Swakopmund was probably our least favourite place... however that said, the owner was very nice and we had a pleasant 2 night stay here 3 star review on the basis we were a little disappointed not to be allocated the nicer suite...
