I inhabited the room on the top floor – including a large double bed and a small washbasin, sea view and a private roof terrace with the most splendid panorama oft the Médina, the harbour, the bay and the ocean – for one week. The bathroom is half a staircase below and even shorter people must watch their heads inside...

This was our second Riad having travelled by bus from Marrakech . The arrangements worked well- we were met at the bus station and our luggage transported by cart to the Riad. We had the roof top accommodation with stunning views of the sea, harbour and the typical rooftop vista. It was delightfully furnished, secluded and yet in the heart...

We had a lovely stay at the Riad! We had the top floor room which was so light, airy and dreamy. I loved that you could just watch the sunset from our room. The entire riad was very charming and the staff was more than gracious. We loved the dreamy and sleepy atmosphere. The view from the rooftop terrace is...

We had a wonderful stay at Riad de la mer! 9 days with an excellent and warmhearted breakfast service by locals. Big roof terrace with incredibly inspiring views of the harbor and the surf off the island of Mogador. Very centrally located, yet quite at night time. Good value for money. We can heartily recommend the clean and friendly Riad...

My boyfriend and I stayed here last May. I saw the pictures of the top floor bedroom online and fell in love with it. When I arrived in person, it was just as great as I'd hoped!!! The bathroom is definitely funny, but I'm 5'1" and I could actually stand in it. My boyfriend had to sit on the little...

A lovely riad. The riad is clean, nicely decorated and is a lovely place to relax as well as being in a perfect central location for exploring the town. We'd definitely stay here again if we were back in Essaouira. We stayed in the room on the top floor which has wonderful views and is light, airy and spacious. The...

Great place to stay, fantastic location 5 minutes from the port. Amazing views from the terrace over the water. Awesome apartments, very clean, high-ceilings, loads of books. Decadant breakfast with very good strong coffee in the morning. Loads of fantastic restaurants nearby. Only downside was other resident who spent hours and hours skyping her friends in England. We could hear...

I have been with my wife for four nights. Everything was perfect since the beggining. Diane is a really kind person and she has helped us to arrange everything, even the taxi from Marrakech. Abdul is ready to help you any moment and he is really friendly as his wife. Breakfast in terrace is something relaxed. It is really good...

This house is really beautifully renovated, with due respect given to the lovely period features and an excellent eye for decoration. The finishes are really a class above those used in most of the other riads I've seen in Essaouira (and I've seen a few!) and the owner, Diane, has a really lovely aesthetic sense. Saida and Abdul Rahman, who...
