The door number 16 at this dark back yard in the old town doesn't look very much inviting. Until it is opened. Then you enter another world. A quiet court, nicely decorated with carpets and paintings, singing canary birds, a lot of green stuff. With Hayat a friendly host expects you and shows you around. The rooms are just amazing....

A really warm welcome from our hosts, advice on every where to go, and things to do. The location is very central. The hotel has comfortable, impressive and large rooms. Absolute must stay if in Essaouira.

Riad Watier provided excellent accommodations and service. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Hayat and her staff made us feel very welcome--it felt like we were staying with friends. Hayat made great suggestions about restaurants and sights to visit. We enjoyed breakfasts on the roof deck and relaxing in the other common areas. We would stay there again in...

Stayed for 14 nights - our 3rd visit to Riad Watier. It really feels like a beautiful home, where nothing is too much trouble and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Hayat - the manager was on hand to ensure that everything ran smoothly - she is a real gem. Clean, beautifully decorated rooms with superbly comfortable beds and...

Nothing is too much trouble for Riad Watier. The reassuring email communication to our arrival in this stunning Riad. Personally preferring smaller accommodations Morocco has to offer in contrast to larger corporate hotels. Watier is offers large, high ceilinged rooms, tastefully decorated with stunning lighting and furnishings. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a feast and a social fun affair with guests sharing...

Hayat and her staff are so welcoming. Each room in the raid is decorated so uniquely and the art that adorns all the walls hints at the rich artistic community in Essaouria. We had dinner at the raid one night and it might have been our best meal in Morocco. The food was delicious and the company engaging. We met...

Stayed here for last 6 days and enjoyed every minute. Hyat and her staff are cheerful, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Spotlessly clean with comfy beds. The food is traditional and superb. We didn't eat anywhere else for dinner. Hyat, the manager, joins the guests for dinner and most are still sitting and chatting 3 hours later. Set...

A great experince from the momet that the door opened to let us in. A lovely warm greeting; a welcoming drink and an almost immediate feeling that this was a home and we were guests. The Manager Hayad and her staff are all attentive and friendly; nothing is too much trouble. An evening meal is occasionally available on request and...

We got the warmest of welcomes here, right down to a specially cooked-at-my-request lasagne! Hyat runs this place as if it is her own home and is on hand to offer advice and help with anything you should need. She's lovely with kids too (and my daughter loved he two cats and two tortoise). Special mention should go to the...
