Our stay at the Villa Maroc was a perfect start of our recent trip to Morocco. We stayed for 2 nights which enabled us to explore Essaouira's highlights at leisure. The Villa consists of 4 riads that are connected to each other with stairs and corridors, and the place oozes with charm, as you have the feeling you are in...

After many good and bad experiences in travelling we have now the opportunity to draw on unlimited resources in commenting our stay in Morocco, e.g. in ‚Les Jardins de Villa Maroc‘, dependance of the famous Hotel Villa Maroc in Essaouira. We now can rename the words hospitality, comfort and love for details: ‚Les Jardins de Villa Maroc‘. Hicham, the gorgeous...

We of cause read tripadvisor reviews, and had great expectations to our stay in Villa Maroc. We spent 3 days there and had a good time. The location is exellent, the room we had was one of the biggest I have ever had (about 8o sqm) including a bathroom with a cheselong(!) But the architecture is like a riad and...

This was the first hotel we stayed in when we first visited Essaouira, 15 years ago. We were so pleased with it that we chose it for this repeat visit. Essaouira has changed a lot in that time. The town has been spruced up with new paving and lighting, the beach has become quite glamorous, many trees have been planted,...

We stayed at Villa Maroc earlier this year, and were disappointed. Due to the strength of recommendations on Tripadvisor, and the relatively higher price compared to other riads, we had pretty high expectations for Villa Maroc. Pros: -The rooms were the best part of our stay, as they were elegantly furnished and very cosy. -The location for Villa Maroc is...

Thank you very much for your feedback. We do appreciate your honesty. Of course we apologize for the inconvenience you had at checkout. I want to emphasize though that misunderstandings like the one you suffered are not our habit and the payments usually work out without any trouble. We stayed in the Villa Maroc in the beginning of July for 5 days, enjoying our time there a lot! The room was very nice, furnished with love and care and provided an oasis to relax and come down from hectic every day troubles! When you start your day with a breakfast on the terrace your do just has to...

We were upgraded to room 16 and it was awesome. If you can, try to be in the open air courtyard section. Roof is great for breakfast but bring a sweater...boy does it get windy! Staff was extremely pleasant though our bathroom toilet stopped working and at first they said it would be fixed the next day, once I explained...

Great place - lots of character. We went as a side trip from Agadir to see some "real" Morocco. Great breakfast on the rooftop terrace, we also had a cooking course with head chef Hayat. She even took us to the souk shopping. She's lovely and a good instructor. We really enjoyed eating the meal we helped prepare! All round,...

Whilenwe did not stay here, we did dine here one evening and were somewhat disappointed by the amateurish service and the food. Firstly, there is very little choice on the menu. One starter, three main courses and one dessert. Secondly, our waiter forgot to ask us for our choice of main course and then when we requested the calamari after...

I am sorry to hear that our restaurant did not meet your expectations. Normally reservations for dinner must be made before 16h00, as the daily purchases in the market are based on the number of bookings. Accordingly we do not serve à la carte but offer our guests a choice of 3 Main Courses (fish, meat or vegetarian) to choose...

“Room 25 lovely with a view of the sea and the seagulls!”

“The top room at Jardins de Villa Marroc was a beautiful room, the only one on the first floor, featuring a view of the argan fields to all sides. In Villa Marroc we enjoyed a nice room below the roof top terrace - the 'sea view' was perhaps a bit of a stretch seeing as you'd have to lean out of the window to see it, but the room - and we expect all the rooms - was as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. ”
