We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. We are really satisfied with the high quality service provided to us. The staffs were so friendly and helpful. The food was awesome and had a great variety to choose from.
Where do we start The Hotel from the moment you arrive just completely ticks every box It’s truly beautiful and the longer you spend there the more and more you really do appreciate what a great decision you made to come here The Hotel is stunning in an amazing location right on its own beautiful beach What really makes the holiday is the hotel staff Every single person involved in the running of the hotel from reception to bar staff to the maids who look after your room are fantastic Have to mention the food , absolutely fantastic and always something to cater for everyone’s taste Couldn’t be happier and really sad the holiday has to end Would recommend this Hotel for anyone who truly wants the holiday of a lifetime
Veranda troux aux biche We wanted a little luxury to end our vacation in Mauritius and selected this hotel due to proximity to the public beach trou aux biches and the hotel’s own beach front area with great sunsets - and sunsets we got indeed. But in so many other aspects this hotel has quality issues and did not deliver the extra luxury we paid for. We were welcomed by a manager in the reception not wearing any formal hotel dress or name sign. The registration was poor and confused and the manager seemed slightly arrogant - it took quite some time for him to handle our booking and earlier pre-payment correctly. The reception area is very stylish and looks great, but our “superior” room was indeed in another class and in need of updating and renovation - too pricey and not enough proper value for the price : windows and doors not shutting properly and bad paintjobs and finish. . I dont mind paying, but this hotel is overpriced both for this local area but also of much lower value compared to the Veranda Tamarin hotel that we stayed at prior to arriving here. Maybe the Veranda Tamarin setup could be shared… First night we were seated in a special outside a la carte dining area and had to wait 25 min to be served and give our orders and another 25 to get our food - the steak was overcooked, impossible to cut and had only a few pieces of real meat - but instead of returning the dish, I waited for the staff’s reaction to the left overs on my plate, but cleaning up our table the waiter did not notice half the steak in pieces on the plate in front of him and at no point did the staff provide a real steak knife. We booked with breakfast only and checking The hotel dinner buffet - again overpriced - it did not look attractive, so Instead we found great local restaurants 400m up and down the road and enjoyed delicious great food (especially one serving tasty tuna fish dishes and crispy pizzas) - at a fraction of the hotel price - and with a steak knife offered when steaks were ordered - so you can get great steaks in Mauritius. Breakfast menu is good with nice selection - but there are so many birds flying around on peoples’ plates and on the first day they were even in the buffet! One needs to protect the neighbours plate when he is going for a refill. Sometimes they dive down while you are eating. The bird sound alarm seem to have no impact and the Staff seems not to care. The bar is good and drinks are great - and priced reasonably. One day we went to the hotel‘s beach area -and there were no more clean towels so we had to get them in the reception ourselves - not an issue, bur a 4 star hotel?. The same thing happened in the gym both times we went (gym is good - but needs prebooking). Great that there is an option to go into the water straight from the hotel , but though the rocks have been removed from the area , the feeling when stepping out in the water is not exactly sandy… Our “superior” room also had a superior sound from a Kitchen door slamming with a big noise in the garden - add to this noise heavy duty vehicles and busses from the outside road early mornings…old styled and dull colours, windows and doors not working properly… the much more expensive priveleged vip area sandy lane would be even worse value for money - both areas probably also served by the same staff - and under same management…. However, in between there are a few staff members greating you with a great smile, gestures and genuine warmth, but they are rare… Hospitality program with Sunset vibes is pos initiative but seemed a bit too much tourist entertainment style - no real enthusiasm from all the actors in their shiny glamourous dresses. Rhum initiative is good . One star for Mauritius and one for the beach area - otherwise overpriced, lack of professional service, lack of style and genuine atmosphere and not well managed. Reception area looks nice, but Rooms were outdated years ago. Not going there again and cannot recommend it. One good thing though that we did not waste money on the vip wing. Other hotels in pointe aux biches deliver far better quality - with the same sunset. We should have picked an alternative instead. …and now the management will thank us for the review and ask us to visit again for a different experience - but pls read all reviews here before you decide - many of our experiences are found in other earlier reviews…..and pls consider price alternatives before booking:-)…
Met Bradley on the hotels beach and booked a fishing trip and day on a catermaran Bradley is incredibly friendly , harmless good fun and banter and his trips are fantastic Great value and explained everything perfectly The fishing trip was amazing The guys on the boat were great , lovey people who couldn’t have worked harder to make sure I had the trip of a lifetime Caught 10 fish so exhausted but incredibly happy Don’t listen to anyone who posts negative comments as there just isn’t any pleasing some people Definitely highly recommended
Thank you for the wonderful stay! The room was always beautifully clean, the buffet with Creole specialities excelent! The service around the gluten-free theme was also perfect, a big thank you to Rishj for his courteous way of serving us! The beach is beautiful, so are the sunsets and the drinks from the footless bar are great! We will be back again!
Wonderful moments spent at veranda point aux biches amazing amenities friendly staffs good service and excellent atmosphere. I would recommend that place to people. Delicious food buffet Lots of activities to keep you busy
The service and food was excellent. The staffs were friendly. Special thanks goes to Ronnie for his nice special attention. We also enjoyed all the complimentary activities. Overall we had a very nice stay.
We had the most fantastic stay at Veranda Pointe aux Biches. The concept and set up of the hotel made sure we were relaxed and enjoyed an idylic 10 days. We were extremely well looked after by Geraldine, Operations Manager, who made sure every detail was taken care of and took on board feedback, and more essentially took steps to change any issues immediately. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Special mentions for Sade and Sarah our super friendly bar staff who went out of their way to ensure we felt special. Olivier and his colleagues in the housekeeping team who made our day with a clean room and their superb animal creations with towels, Head Chef Sudhir and Dome, Pastry chef for their divine food creations, Anu and Samuel who looked after us so efficiently and attentively in the fine dining restaurant. A huge thank you to everyone at the hotel - We had an amazing and fabulous stay.…
Great location and wonderful and friendly entertainment team. Good range of foods. The complimentary foot massage was blissful and a great touch. The pools and beach activities were also the highlights of my teens during our stay.
We had a lovely time at Veranda Pointe aux Biches- beautiful resort, great food, lots of activities and entertainment and most of all, the most welcoming and friendly staff. A special thank you to Omtee, Rishi and Muzzamil who were so playful and sweet with our 10 month old baby :)
