Our family was lucky to visit the Sands Suites Resort for a number of times when we were still living in Mauritius. We fell in love with the hotel that has such a calm and warm atmosphere and friendly and kind employees. So when we were choosing a hotel for our vacation in Mauritius, it was clear we only want to go to Sands. Thank you Brenda for arranging the booking for us! The facilities are really nice, the entrance with the sea view is just breath taking. We had a room on the second floor, it’s spacious and clean and quiet. You don’t hear other guests in other rooms. The beach is beautiful and not do busy as Sands is the last hotel in Wolmar, so you can really enjoy the peace there. There are enough sun beds so you don’t have to worry about not finding one. Ruddy from the Dolphin bar took very good care for us when on the beach. The food in the restaurants is very good, good choice also. If we wanted something extra for our son, all we had to do was ask, nothing was a problem. All the staff are so freindly and kind, always ready to help. Thank you Selven, Ashvin, Darshana and Akash for being very kind and making sure we have all we need. Special thanks to the sommelier Rajah for organising such a beautiful surprise on the beach: candle lit heart shaped lounges on the beach with sabrage and tasty food (never had sea urchins before!). And the lovely dinner afterwards. You really exceeded our expectations and went an extra mile to make us feel at home away from home! Any time we’ll travel to Mauritius, we’ll only go to Sands! Thank you!…
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sands, the infinity pool and views are amazing and the rooms very spacious and clean. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, we couldn't ask for a more excellent service! Thank you to the Pink Peppercorn restaurant for a lovely birthday meal and king prawn final lunch and an extra special thanks to the superb Dolphin bar staff and for the Guinness and peanuts 😊 Room #217 guests 1st-15th May
This is a slice of paradise. Amazing hotel and location with a great view on the ocean and the tamarin bay. The other resort have just a view of the ocean and at the sand suit the view is way more nicer. Also the beack and the swimming pool are perfect. And the infinite view from the swimming pool and the ocean is amazing. The all team of the hotel is really professional and dedicated to help you in all your requests. The foods and restaurants are really good and can only recommend this hotel. The suits are great and have really nice size. The spa and gym are really great as well. I just want to go back there!!
A ten day holiday, which was truly amazing from start to finish! We went with another couple and our holiday was one of the best we have ever had. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff! Every single staff member greeted you with a warm welcome and they couldn't do enough for you, nothing was too much trouble, and this enhanced our very perfect stay at the hotel. I won't mention staff by name as I wouldn't want to miss anyone out because everyone was so helpful including the lovely lady that made the perfect poached eggs for me each day. The food was delicious every day (the reason for my holiday weight gain) but so worth it! Even if what you wanted wasn't there they would welcome your requests and would be happy to accommodate. The views were incredibly beautiful. On our entrance to the hotel, the beauty of the place took our breadth away. It wasn't overcrowded so there was no urgency ever to rush and there was always sun loungers available to lie on, with beach towels always available. There were added extras too that the staff organised for us as we were there for my 50th and a special anniversary we had chocolate cake (lots of cake) and the little extras that made it special with flower petals left in the room. We visited many sights of Mauritius and what I liked about it was the the driver of the taxis came with you, to ensure you had the best experience, this was far cheaper than what the rep could offer too. I have an abundance of fabulous photos of this idyllic Island including the beautiful sunsets we saw being on the West of the Island in Flic en Flac. We had a guided walk to Tamerin and a bike ride to Flic en Flac, we also enjoyed the spa during our stay and would thoroughly recommend this, although the steam room was out of order. The treatment rooms were clean and comfortable again with incredible staff. I have regular massages and the one we received was wonderful. We took a boat trip to crystal rock and snorkelled with the fish and we even caught a red snapper on the way and this was bbq'd for us for our lunch Superb memory! We met the most amazing family in Tamerin who will be forever friends! I could go on and on about this beautiful place, but all I would say is if you are considering booking Sands Suite, do it! You will not be disappointed. I am still smiling about our holiday and one day we will most definitely return! Hi to all the staff you made our stay perfect in every way!…
Very nice hotel, not too big and therefore kind of familiar. But anyhow with all services needed: Fitness, Spa, Water sports, etc Good buffet for breakfast and lunch, good variety, always following a special motto, repeating after a week. Great service all over; in the restaurant, the concierge, reception, beach service, boat house. The entire staff is very friendly and tries to fulfill all wishes. The rooms are spacious and towards the front. I stayed in the ground floor and enjoyed the little garden and the possibility of direct access to the beach, for a quick swim in the morning. I replied the customer survey during my stay and mentioned 2-3 points that might be improved. The next day, the customer relationship manager got in contact with me to understand my points better. I must admit, I was quite impressed. I enjoyed my stay very much and like to thank the entire staff.…
We had an amazing, relaxing time at the Sands Suites Resort & Spa. Our room had a beautiful view over the ocean, it was very clean and we loved the little honeymoon touches on arrival. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - I was 23-24 weeks pregnant during our holiday and they couldn't have done more to ensure our stay was perfect. I have food allergies and intolerances and rather than my choice being limited at the evening meal, the chef spoke to me each morning and cooked me whatever I wanted for my evening meal!! Ashook was incredible at coming up with ideas and the meals were delicious. The hotel offers water sport activities and we enjoyed kayaking and my husband also went paddleboarding in the bay. We also had massages at the spa, which were amazing and again the staff were so helpful. During our stay we did a tour of the south of the island, visited La Vanille Nature Park and did a day trip to see Dolphins, snorkel and visited crystal rock and Benitiers island, which we really enjoyed and would recommend to all. Artee greeted us on arrival and welcomed us to the hotel - she was available for anything we needed throughout our stay. Also, Selvern recommended particular food and drink/cocktails during our stay, which were always amazing. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning with baby!…
Had a great 5 day stay in February 2020, and back for a 9 day stay in April 2022. Ground floor apartment with verandah, sea view and a short walk to the beach, water sports or hotel facilities. A bit of water skiing, sailing, snorkelling on the coral reefs and swimming with dolphins (spinner and bottle nose). Food was great, either buffet or dedicated restaurant. What made this holiday special was the friendly staff who were attentive, helpful and welcoming.
Stayed for two days in March and was really pleased with my choice. Located on one of the best beaches in Mauritius, the hotel facilities and friendly staff were superb. Nice pool area, spacious rooms with access to the beach and lawn area. Always something happening on the water, as lots of boat activity. Quality buffet in the evening serving a themed offering which was very tasty. Combined with the very reasonable pricing for Mauritius, it creates a winning formula.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay in your resort. I was amazed to notice how your staffs paid attention to our needs throughout our stay. We were like pampered all the time. We loved the room which was comfortable and had all the amenities required.
It is a beautiful location and the hotel is well designed. The gardens are beautiful, but it would have been extra special if there were daybeds and hammocks. The staff are amazing, they are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food in the hotel could be better, but overall it was average. WIFI was excellent as we were on business. All in all it was a wonderful trip and we will stay at THE SANDS again.
