The vibe of this hotel is awesome. It is rated as a 3-star hotel, I can understand why (some appliances would need an upgrade) but besides that I think this hotel is best when it comes to the value for money. The staff here is simply awesome. Please ask about Akchay at the main bar (Baracuda), he will serve you with a big smile always. Also, do not forget to play a volleyball game with Denis on the beach or sing along at Karaoke night. I saw some people not being pleased by the food. The variety is not great, but it always tasted very good and was well seasoned. There were also a lot of local food choices, which is a big plus. If you are in doubt about this hotel, please don't be. I had some questions myself, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it.…
Stayed at this resort for 4 nights ( 10 -14 May 2022) .....every aspect of our stay was excellent.....the staff were very friendly and helpful....good variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner......the beach was awesome....no need for Aqua shoes....entertainment around pool area/ bar every night.. Will definitely return!!
Excellent service! family away from home. Will visit again with my kids. Resort is children friendly! We had a royal time relaxing on the beach, drinking cocktails and local rum! Went on a speed boat to 5 Eiland’s... what an experience! We fed monkeys, saw the most beautiful waterfall. Went snorkelling - saw dolphins, sea turtles and fruit bats the size of an eagle! Had a good laugh with new friends. The resort has snorkelling, glass bottom boat, paddling, a bar on the beach and relaxing chairs on the beach for the guest to use, included with the package. Five days was just too short... was not able to do the glass bottom boat. We also wanted to visit Port Louise. Reception is open 24 hours to serve their guest. welcoming and friendly. The resort, rooms and restaurant are clean and neat. Restaurant has three buffet meal per day as well as tea and pancakes in the afternoon. The food is good and more than enough! Overall, everything was amazing. An Eiland feeling that I was only dreaming about! Tips: Remember shoes to wear is the ocean for there is quite a lot of sea urchins as well as snorkelling gear. You can buy snorkelling gear in Flacq at super u, but they do not always have stock. Souvenir shops in Belle Mare have stock but is quite expensive. …
On the hotels website it looks stunning but in reality its just OK. The food was very repetitive, plenty of it but all very similar, no mobile food truck no food/snacks at the bar as advertised on their fact sheet. The rooms pretty standard. The entertainment was like any hotel entertainment, karaoke, singers, nothing that stands out. Water sports not great, they advertise electric sea scooter, floating sea lounge, floating volley pit and they don't have any of those, they do have a glass bottom boat but they will only take you out at a set time, mornings only 11.30am for an hour. The staff are predominantly friendly, the bar staff and waiters along with housekeeping all friendly and attentive. The reception not so friendly, on arrival you have a COVID test, the staff member who carried out our tests did so quite harshly and poked the swab way to high inside the nostril causing pain. We were not given any overview of the hotel and found out more talking to a vendor on the beach than the reception staff. The rooms we had were very noisy, pool view and opposite the entertainment, we asked for a quiet room and were told the hotel was fully booked unless we wanted a sea view riom which would be an extra 50 euros per night. Overall, not impressed and considering the cost would not recommend this hotel.…
Absolutely loved this little gem of a hotel. Everything was perfect, the room with a view of the beautiful beach. Loved the food, presented well, varied and tasty. The entertainment was great, Dennis is a star. We enjoyed our family holiday tremendously and hope to come back again.
We were overwhelmed with the beauty and the comfort of the hotel. We had a very pleasant stay with Veranda Palmar. The food quality was perfect and the staffs were amazing, they made sure that we had a comfort time at the hotel. The amenities were very clean and without forgetting we had the opportunity mesmerizing sunrise! Will definitively go back again. :)
The Veranda Palmer is an awesome resort with lovely and friendly staff the food is wonderful and it's closeness to the beach front is unmatched I would recommend it to anyone going to the beautiful, chilled and quiet nation of Mauritius, Oh and find Denis he is an awesome and entertaining host
Short holiday in Mauritius, at the end of summer season, we’re looking for just relax… we found it! Small but comfortable resort in strategic position in endless beach of Belle Mare, excellent food, tidy rooms, courtesy from all the staff… what else?
Had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this small but beautiful resort. What made it more beautiful is the staff who are excellent and have so much hospitality! Thank you everyone who have made our stay memorable. Although being a three star hotel, you delivered a five star service!
We just got home after 10 glorious days. We have to say that the hotel has consistently gone beyond our expectations from the moment we arrived, met with a refreshing drink & Kelly who gave us a guided tour - what a welcome. Room 604 will now always be our room, haha! We definitely hope to visit again in the future - it has a great sea view and we were looked after by Stenio - what a legend, absolute top guy who kept our room clean & fresh, nothing was too much trouble - returning dry cleaning to us on Sunday afternoon even though we weren't expecting it back until at least Monday. Although we were lucky enough to spend some days out on excursions exploring this beautiful island, it does not take away from the amazing experience at the Veranda Palmar. Honestly, you guys made our visit - fist bumps galore made us feel part of the family; Clive & Denis are the kings of entertainment, full of energy and always smiling (thanks for putting up with some late nights), hubby was delighted to play guitar with Clive (Red Hot Chilli Peppers!); Akashi looked after us in the dining room, especially on our last night and chef Kumaren is a gent - having him cook for me at the chef's station one night is a highlight and we loved that he came round and talked about the food. We tried some new things every day and they were delicious. We were able to get involved on Earth Day planting a flower in the garden, Avi sorted a cake for our anniversary and Denis asked the band to play a song from our wedding which we were then able to dance to (in the very brief rain!), and cocktails/Sega on the beach was a superb touch to end our week - thank you so much. The guys at the bar (feel bad I'm unsure of names - sorry) were good fun and always on form. Honestly, I could go on, there's so many characters we met. I can't name them all but each has played a part in what for us was the best holiday we've ever had. We said Mauritius would be the holiday of a lifetime for us, but we 100% plan to return to Veranda Palmar. Don't ever change, Veranda Palmar: we already miss your kindness, pace of life and constant supply of smiles. ❤️ Lorna & Jim Memmory…
