We celebrated our 50th Birthday's at this beautiful island in the Maldives. What a fantastic time we had! The island is so lovely and quiet and is exactly what you would expect when you read about 'deserted' islands in the Indian Ocean. If your looking for a small, quiet island of which a maximum of 100 people can stay there...

Went here on my honeymoon and loved every minute of it. We was waited on hand and foot by all the staff and was served by the same waiter every time we had food. What is there to complain about great location, staff are friendly and welcoming and always happy to attend to you, great weather! What I liked about...

Just coming back down to earth after spending a wonderful 10 days on this blissful Island .. We felt happy and relaxed from the hour we arrived till the hour we left .. Maafushivaru is ( in my opinion) exactly what I expected an Island in the Maldives to be , this was our 1st time here and I didn't...

We stayed at this beautiful resort end of February beginning of March 2017 for 12 nights in an over the water sunset villa. The main island and the smaller sister island Lonubo are delightful. We couldn't have been more pleased in choosing this resort as our first experience of the Maldives. We decided to visit the Maldives for my wife's...

We stayed at Maafushivaru for 10 nights in mid-February in a water villa and had a really lovely holiday. The resort is small, even by Maldivian standards, but is generally well arranged so that it feels more spacious than it actually is. The main buildings – reception, lounge (called the coffee shop), restaurant and bar – are together and adjacent...

We were on Maafushivaru the past 10 days and it was amazing! The staff was so friendly, the food was great (every day something new to discover), the reef was fantastic for snorkeling and/or diving. The island was very small but there was still a lot to discover! The gym was small but sufficient and clean! We had a beach...

Just back from a 10-night stay at Maafushivaru. The island is beautiful (as is the sister island Lonubo which we went to once). Lots of snorkeling at the island - the coral was quite bleached, but there were lots of fish plus we saw clams, starfish, a turtle and a ray. We also went on a manta ray excursion -...

Just 25min from velana international airport. Arrived at reception and only few minutes to complete registration. Breakfast was just great. Lots of various items. Good choices. Staff very nice. Nice beaches. Sand everywhere. You dont have to wear shoes. Also had a good experience on night fishing with some of the staff. Boat crew very helpful. Also before i finish...

The island is small and beautifully. So intimate you feel it is almost a private island. If you want a real private deserted island you have it, just a quick boat ride away. If you want a romantic dinner and to stay the night you can rent it. There are plenty of island trips, snorkelling with whale sharks, turtle and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Maafushivaru. We had overwater bungalow 222 which is the last one with sunrise and sunset views. We spent so much time on our balcony or snorkeling or swimming off our bungalow. The water clarity and colors were stunning. The snorkeling is incredible even with the bleaching of some of the reef last year. The...
