The reason i've booked this hotel is because its located at a strategic location if occupant having an event at MBSA Convention Centre on the opposite road. I've booked a Family Suite for 2 nites (23-24 Dec 2023). Once enter the room, I found out that the fridge cable is too short to plug-in, so i cannot use the fridge during my stayed in that hotel. I also checked with the hotel staff and found out that there is no Wi-Fi available in this hotel, previously it was listed in the facilities list before I made the reservation. Insufficient towel given as my booking is with 2 kids age 12 & 17, only two towel are given and luckily i had brought extra towel from home. There are also no tissues provided, even a box of facial tissues, our toilet also has no tissues provided. The hotel facilities mention the provision of a hair dryer, but none were found in the room. The door lock also sometimes doesn't work so I have to go to the counter and ask the counter staff for help.

Easy check in-process for my last minute booking. Located a bit separated from noisy area. This hotel provide basic amenities, with TV, Air-cond, Refrigerator & Fan. Double security access for main door & room. I have a good night sleep and enjoy my stay here. Nearby Tesco, AEON Mall Shah Alam & Mamak Restaurant. Its just i can hear noise if other visitor using walkway as my room is close to the main door. oh btw, lots of parking but you need to pay RM2/ night.

I would rate 3S for the room I stayed. Simple, Spick and Span. It is located in a quiet area yet easy excess to departmental stores in Shah Alam area and highways. I highly recommend this place for short stays and stop overs. Absolute value for money.

We stayed over in Shah Alam for two days, one night, and booked two rooms in this hotel to accommodate a total of five people. One room is a twin bedroom, the other a 'family bedroom' with a single bed and a queen-size double bed. I was rather surprised at how cramped the twin room was, while the other was very spacious. I stayed in the twin bedroom. Although there is not much choice with the TV channels and the bathroom also quite small, I was able to get a comfortable night's sleep thanks to the AC and its location far from traffic. They also provide complementary water and coffee (with a kettle to use), and I was happy with that. Instead of a closet, they provide just a place in the corner to hang up any clothes you brought. The location was the most improtant aspect for us, because we had a meeting with some friends in a nearby bistro which is just across the street from the hotel lobby. Food is good there, and there are also some other restaurants a few minutes' walk away that served breakfast. The hotel does not serve any food. Overall it was pleasant for us, because we were not disappointed with anything in particular.

We booked what was listed as a 'Premium deluxe queen room' but were left wondering what was either premium or deluxe about it. The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller but it was cheap ($43 Au) per night. For some reason wifi didn't work for our laptop but it did work for the tablet. No idea why but that was the way it was. The air-conditioner took a while to get going but once it did it worked well and kept the room nice and cool. Obviously the owners of this hotel are all about saving money as there is a special chip on the card you insert to get lights and air-con. No just sliding in a different card and leaving the power on here. There is a separate access card for the lift / stairwell entry door as the lift and stairs are outside reception. The TV was an older CRT style but as with other hotels we have been to, there were some English language channels. Tea and coffee making facilities were pretty standard but there was precious little space to put anything as the room was so small. The bathroom is very small and you have to turn the hot water on before having a shower if you can't take the cold water on its own. The hot water is good when you remember to put the switch outside the bathroom on. All the usual basic facilities are available such as towels, soap, shampoo but we were left feeling very cramped by the lack of room. The room was clean and tidy but the bed (like most others we have tried to sleep n in Malaysia) was simply too hard to be comfortable. This hotel is really for the budget conscious traveller who isn't looking for a great deal of comfort or the feeling of luxury. Sleep quality (if you ignore the concrete like bed) is fine as there is little night-time noise. We are fairly budget conscious ourselves but I would be happy to spend a few dollars more to get something better. Sadly Shah Alam does not seem to have any good reasonably priced mid-level hotels. The choice seems to be ultra budget places like this, or a couple of over-priced big hotels that are far out of our price range. There are a few Malay eating places within walking distance and you are fairly close to two TESCO stores but there isn't a lot within walking distance so you will need to get a cab or have your own transport. Parking outside is ample and although we don't really have anything that negative to say about the hotel, for us the room was just a bit too basic and small.

After looking at a couple of budget hotels in Klang and not being quite satisfied, I decided to travel a bit to Shah Alam and I stumbled upon this place and I am glad I did. It is nicely tucked among some greenery (yes..greenery is quite scarce this part of Shah Alam). Convenient location just 3 min to Tesco and the Federal highway. If you're looking for a place with good service, really clean and comfortable rooms, Good Hope is the way to go. Peter, the Manager is really a nice chap and Nincy at the front desk was friendly as ever right from the first day I stepped in. Highly recommended..been to other so called 4/5 star hotels in Shah Alam but trust me...not worth the extra $. I'm DEFINITELY coming back.
