Detailed Reviews
We went to view a room it smelt of mould and walls are mouldy, the paint is mouldy and peeling throughout the hotel. Location is good but it is unbearable to stay in a room there, I have no idea how it scored 5/10 on booking.com.Goes without saying we didn't stay there!

Was a last minute booking and couldn't get a cheap room as it was the Rainforest World Music Fest so decided just to go ahead with this hotel as it was in town. When we reached, it looks like the price was still a rip off bcoz of the condition of the hotel. It was not maintained well, the room was semi clean and spooky at the same time. It was an old hotel but come on, I've been to old hotels and they are still clean and maintained well.
If your traveling alone I wouldn't recommend this hotel as its at the end of town and not safe to be walking alone especially at night. U can find all sorts of suspicious characters around. The hotel staff was not friendly at all and even if I had something to ask, I decided not to even bother asking.
The only good thing I would say was the hotel had a lift and made it easy to go up our room which was on the 3rd floor.
Seriously a first and the last for me.

I stayed in the hotel for 1 night together with my cousin that was here for a simple drop by. The security system is ridiculously dangerous. We were told not to wander out after 12am as there is no security guards will look after the place. Furthermore, we were told that there might be people knocking the doors after 12am and we were told not to open in order to avoid robberies to happen.
1am in the morning, we heard people fighting outside the hotel and none of the staff workers try to stop the fight by calling the cops or ask the men to continue their fights somewhere else.

Went to visit some Indonesian friends who frequently stayed there, they look very comfortable staying even though rooms fixtures and wall have deteriorated. But the bed and pillows seem clean and iron nicely. The rooms are big for a cheap rate.

Positives: pickup from airport and to train station worked well. Staff was friendly. Check in/out staff was friendly.
Roof over your head.
Negatives: the property is old and in disrepair. Windows opened with difficulty. And you will need to open those windows! The bed was not very comfortable. Very bouncy.
Housekeeping gets a solid F. The floor was dirty. There were dust bunnies a few months old. The bathroom had a heater with a solid layer of dust inside.
The shower clearly had not been cleaned.
Breakfast was muffins, toast, cereal and bagels. Jam came from a community jar. No way!!!!
Considering this motel provided the absolute minimum in all respects, the lack of cleanliness, and overall shoddy appearance, this makes for substandard living quarters that in no way justify the exorbitant price we paid. I don't care how nice the staff was. They can't make up for the lack of everything else. That leaves absolutely nothing to lure me back at any time in the future.

The staff is not so friendly. As I entered the room, the room is smelly.
The location not so near the riverfront, better you have a rental car services, if not don't choose this lodge. There is drinking water filling in front of lift, it's good for us no need to buy drinking water. The bathroom in room work properly and hope some renovation in bathroom.
