I stayed here thinking that I may not interact with many people which I was sad about but the owners made a huge effort to keep it comfortably social. I stayed her for about 10 days which went so fast. I plan to come back as soon as I can. The room was clean and neat, the bed was comfortable...

Reasonable budget option that could be a lot better with a decent clean and some attention to detail. Staff were extremely friendly and at $RM69 for a single room with hot shower it is good value. My room wasn't clean - lots of dust and cobwebs especially in the fan. Some of the other rooms looked better. Also note this...

Although the noise a downside of staying here, the upside is the owners of the Woodpecker lodge really go out of their way to make you feel a home and get you involve in things. They certainly made me feel involved and went above and beyond during my stay. At various times they came to check if I needed anything...

I would say 1st of all that for the price, the room was brilliant and had an ensuite bathroom /toilets, un heard off from my experience of Malaysia so far(for that price). I was travellig alone and knew nothing of Kuching but the owners really made me feel comfsotable and helped me with picking activities and places to dine. I...

Doesn't tell much from the outside but the room definitely a different story. It was a clean and cosy single room. There's an lcd tv too which is a rare feature for a budget room. Space is limited but expected. You can hear the music from the bar downstairs but it wasn't too overbearing at least for me. Overall it...

I stayed for 2 days. Day 1 after check in and enter the room already feel disappointed and regret. Don't be the next victim and don't fully trust on previous review and the ranking given. Very noises especially weekend due to sing k at downstairs. Packing slot limited.

I paid S$73 for 3 nights in a room with a double bed. The room is very small - roughly 4 X 3 metres. The bathroom is 1 X 3 m and the rest fits a queen sized bed with some space left to move around. A small flat screen TV, a small ledge and a few hooks on the...

We really liked this lodge, as it was a good value. Rooms were clean and comfortable and location is great - right in the center of town. The only downside is that the lodge is directly above a karaoke parlor that stays open until 2am. You can definitely hear the music and singing from the rooms. If you are a...

We stayed at the Woodpecker Lodge for five nights. It is located very well - you have to walk more or less around the corner and are at Kuchings' waterfront. You reach the guesthouse by a steep step - if you are not able to carry your luggage, they will help you. Our room was tiny - but we enjoyed...
