We had the pleasure of staying in a Club Room with a sea view. Yes, it is more expensive than other rooms but in our opinion well worth the extra. The view at sunset is unrivalled. The use of the Club Lounge with its exceptional staff, is a real luxury. Here is breakfast in the morning, tea, coffee and soft...

We enjoy the sunset on our balcony or even on bed. I appreciate the sitting area which is near the door rather than near the balcony, smart design. Don't expect newly furnished room but you can find all you need in your room. Must try yoga and Pilates class. The staff is do nice and allowed us to stay in...

Our stay was nothing but excellent from when we arrived to when we departed. ALL staff were amazing and nothing was to much trouble for any of them. The pool area was exceptional and very relaxing and there was always drinking water on hand to have. The rooms were very large and we had a great view over the ocean....

We stayed only one night at this hotel at the end of our tour of Sabah in July 2013. In Sabah and Sarawak, we used three different hotels, Le Meridien KK, Pullman Kuching and this hotel. We rate this hotel to be more superior to the other two, however, as what you expect, you get what you pay for. This...

Booked into this hotel with family after a trip to Borneo. Check in was extremely slow and took over 2 hours. It was booked over 6 months ago and we requested 3 rooms close by with a mountain view. 2 rooms close and the other was afar away as it could be. Twin instead of double, and view was only...

We stayed after a 3 weeks tour through Borneo 3 days at this Superior Hotel. Everything was great but we will most emphasis on the excellent service of the staff of this wonderful hotel. This hotel is certainly the reason why we will come back to Borneo and especially to Kota Kinabalu. For children/family bij far the way to be!

We stayed at the beautiful Tanjung Aru hotel for 4 nights in July 2013 and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a mini suite within the Kinabalu Club wing, after paying for a mountain view room in the same wing. The room was just wonderful and perfectly sized for us and our 2 children. Exceptionally comfortable beds and a...

The main thing you need to know is this place is chock full of families with young kids. There were more under 10s than I'd seen at Disneyland.. seriously! And the pool is similarly jam packed. As other people have mentioned, the place is straining to cope with crowds. In a Shangri-La? It was such a shock to us, we...
